THE HOUSE OF COVENANT PART 1 by J W LUMAN We are dealing with the Word of the Lord that is beginning to abound in His Body at this time. It has to do with the gathering up of all things in the PERSON OF CHRIST, and the gathering up of all things in The Son. And This Son being a Covenant Son! A Son who is in covenant with His Father, who walks in an understanding given of God; a Son who is a manifesting of God, and the fulness of God in the earth. And certainly this is what we're called for in Christ to be. Last year I was caught up in a study with regard to the three-fold anointing of David. David is a unique individual in the scriptures because there is no other King that has three distinct anointings. Three times David was anointed as King of Israel. And I had been captured in that particular understanding, in that particular area of study with regard to David's anointing. He was anointed first IN THE FATHER'S HOUSE - 1 Samuel 16. He was anointed in his Father's house among his brethren. That was the first place David was anointed. How many of you understand that YOU are the Father's House? You are the House of God, and His first anointing must be in YOU; His first revealing must be in you. Paul echoes this when he said, "It pleased God to reveal His Son in me." And there's tremendous truth that revolves around the Son being revealed in the Father's house. And the first thing being filled up with the knowledge of the Son is the Father's House itself. And as I said, you are that House. But that led to a second anointing, and the second anointing was when Judah, the tribe of Judah, recognized him as King. The House of Judah recognized him as King and they anointed David as King. And it is out from that tribe that the Lord Jesus comes forth. So this was a priestly anointing, an understanding of that. And then in the third instance, David was anointed by all of Israel. There was a tremendous gathering unto David. The gathering started at a place called Ziklag, it continued in Hebron, and then in the wilderness all of Israel was gathered unto David. If you read concerning that gathering in 1 Chronicles 11 and 12 - all of Israel was gathered unto David as David was anointed finally by all of Israel. And in that gathering, what gave it purpose was the sons of Issachar were there. And they stood up in the midst, and they brought a word of understanding, they brought a word of knowledge, because these men were they who had knowledge of the times and they knew what Israel ought to do. And at the end of the three distinct anointings of David, where he was exalted first as the Exalted Son, second as the Head of the Church, and there was a gathering unto him of the mighty men and third he was anointed as Lord of Lords and King of Kings - all of Israel found their identity in David. And what we see here is a type of Christ being revealed in the Church, and that revealing begins in the Father's House, the thing that's closest to the bosom of the Father - that revealing begins IN YOU! The Exalted One. The Exalted Son revealed in you, and out from that there begins to be a gathering unto Him of the mighty men, a gathering up of those that can shoot the bow with both hands, a gathering up of those who are exercised in spiritual warfare. These are not scabs and rebels, but these are mighty men that are being gathered unto the anointing of King David. They aren't rebels in the land - they are just drawn to David. How many of you know that He is drawing such ones unto Him? Through the revealing of His Son in His Own House, there is beginning to be a gathering up unto Him. And I'm telling you that gathering is out from every organization, it's out from every denomination, it's out from every race, color, creed and kind. That gathering is unto Him! And it's the mighty men that are beginning to be gathered and they are recognizing an anointing upon Christ, upon the indwelling Christ, and it is that which is the whole point and the whole service of our being gathered together. As a result of that gathering all of Israel was gathered together. Now you don't see all of Israel gathered together first. We all want the Church to come forth and the Church to come together, and the Church to walk in unity. We've preached unity and we've tried to promote unity through every vehicle and vessel, and it's still not unified. Well, it's got to start with the anointing of David in his Father's House. I'm just showing you a pattern. And God kept me in this for months. I went for months just talking about His being revealed in the Father's House - that He must be revealed in you. There must be a revealing of Christ in you. There must be a coming to an understanding that I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, Christ liveth in me. Sooner or later Salvation has got to become a Person, not just an experience. Sooner or later Salvation has got to become Christ in you, not just saved from sin. Sooner or later the work of God has got to revolve around a Person, and that Person is in you. And sooner or later you and I have to begin to walk in a new understanding, a new relationship concerning that Person, and a new judgment has got to come into the Father's House. I want you to know, when Samuel took his full horn of oil and went down to Jesse's house, which was in Bethlehem, and rejected all of the seven sons of flesh ... They all came out saying, 'Surely we're the Lord's anointed.' And Samuel rejected all seven of then. And then he revealed the hidden son, the son that was out in back, the son that nobody knew about, the son that was out there taking care of sheep - the eighth son. The son of new beginning, not the son of the order of the flesh, not the son of the order of the old administration, no, not that son. But a new son, a son of new beginnings, the eighth son, and he poured the whole horn upon him - that's got to take place in you! That's got to take place in me. Sooner or later the Living Son, the Son of God has got to be revealed in the Father's House. And what it happens, that sets way for the second anointing. And that was when the mighty men began to come out to him - men of renown, the mighty men of Israel began to be drawn out to him. Men who could keep rank, men who could keep step, men who were under submission and knew how to exercise authority themselves, men who walked in authority and had authority. And it was that kind that came out to David. And they came out to David and the testimony that these men gave was, " David, we are flesh of your flesh, David, we are bone of your bone." Their identity was not in one another, their identity was in King David. I'm telling you folks, we've got to come to that anointing, where our identity is not in our flesh, but our identify is in Him! For our union is not in our flesh, our union is in Him! Where our gathering is not to me, and the gathering is not to you, the gathering is unto Him! And when we find our identity in one thing - "David, we are flesh of your flesh and bone of your bone. Oh David, thou son of Jesse, we are thine." That's the cry of the gathering together of the mighty men. The Bible says, " These are they that gathered unto David at Ziklag." That's the only identification they had. These are they that were gathered unto David. Not 'these are they that were of some peculiar doctrine.' These are they that were gathered unto David! These are they that understood we are bone of his bone, we are flesh of his flesh, David, we are thine. I'm telling you there is starting to be such a gathering, saints. There is beginning to be such a gathering. Amen. My heart is set on seeing that kind of gathering. The gathering together of the mighty men, not just gathered unto me - my God. I just want to be part of the gathering. I just want to be part of the gathering - the gathering is unto Him! How are we going to get a gathering like that? When He begins to be revealed in me, when He begins to be revealed in you, our gathering will be unto Him! Hallelujah! I want you to understand this in the scripture. You'll find this in Samuel, you'll find this gathering also in the Chronicles - 2 Samuel 2, then in 1 Chronicles 11 and 12th chapter is the gathering I'm talking about. I want you to know that the basis of these brothers' fellowship was not rebellion against Saul - that wasn't the basis of their fellowship. The basis of their fellowship wasn't coming out of something - it was going into something. The basis of their fellowship wasn't that they all joined the same organization. The basis of their fellowship was that they recognized their unity in David. That's got to become the basis of our recognition. Not that I'm of this little thing, or that little thing. I can't continue to be that way. But a realization that lifts me up above that, that lifts us up above that in understanding, in recognition, and we find our identity in Him! And what have we done? We've knit all of that stuff together then. We haven't necessarily destroyed it, we've knit it all together. They began to knit it all together as they identified unto David. I'm telling you that's taking place. God is blessing our hearts and allowing us to participate in some major gatherings in our country and around the world. And I'm not just talking about a time of gathering for four days. I'm talking about something that happens and then continues. It continues! So the mighty men were gathered unto him because of Christ being revealed in a people; because of Christ being revealed in the Father's House, the mighty men were gathered unto him. That's the second. Then, because of that, there was this third gathering. When the mighty men began to be gathered, the Bible says that soon the priests began to come out, the elders began to come out, and all of Israel began to come out. You'll read this in 1 Chronicles 11 and 12. And all of Israel began to be gathered unto David, and he was anointed a third time. This time he wasn't anointed just in the Father's house, this time it wasn't just recognizing him as the Head of the mighty men, but this time all of Israel found their identity. Let me tell you something folks. We talk about this. We say, "..and He gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists and some pastors and some teachers...", and yes, He did. But we say He did that for the perfecting of the saints, for the full equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the Body of Christ, unto what? Unto the unity of the faith! Unto a perfect man! Unto the knowledge of the Son of God, unto the full measure of the stature of Christ! We talk about that - a time when there is a Church in the earth that walks in the knowledge of the Lord, because that's certainly not talking about a gathering any where else, because it goes on to say whereby we are no longer blown about by every wind of doctrine. That's talking about taking place here. A coming forth in His fulness, unto the fulness of His stature. And we talk about that and we sing about that. I want you to understand that's not talking about a Church that meets in a physical location in a physical scope - that's talking about a Church that is found in every country and every nation, in every plot of dirt upon the face of the earth! And I can't be so dumb to believe that I'm actually the center of that kind of a gathering. I can't be so silly to believe that I've got some kind of program that is going to actually bring that about. If you'll look at this, you'll see that the type of it ... they were tribes, but at the end of this third gathering, they were no longer twelve tribes - they were ONE HOUSE OF ISRAEL! They had never been united since they came out of Egypt. They had fussed and fought amongst themselves since they came out of Egypt - they came out fussing, they came out fighting. They did - they were delivered fussing and fighting. They were delivered grumbling and griping. The Law did not bring them out from that, it just controlled, regulated it, but they just went right on. But for the first time God said, 'I'm going to make them what I told Abraham they were - One House, One Seed!' How are you going to do that? I'M GOING TO EXALT MY KING IN THEIR MIDST! That's how I'm going to do it. I'm going to bring them all to one mind, I'm going to bring them all to one identity. I'm going to bring them all to one understanding, I'm going to bring them all under one Head. I'm going to bring them all under My King - that's how I'm going to do it! The Judges couldn't do that. Look at all they did, but they couldn't do that. The Prophets couldn't. Look at what the Prophets did - great, mighty works, but the Prophets couldn't do that. Look at the mighty men. Look at their record - how they slew, beat Philistines, how they wrought mighty works - Samson, Gideon, but they couldn't do that. Israel was not unified under any of that. Now look at the Church today. We've had mighty men - we've had Prophets, we've had Judges, we've got all of this, all of it set in order of God, all of it doing what God ordained that it should do, but nothing short of Him revealing His King, Him revealing His Son will cause Israel to live as One House, will cause the Church to live as One House. I'm talking to you about something the Spirit of God is commissioned to do of the Father, and that is in the revealing of the Son. How does He do it? Three distinct anointings - it starts in you! If I want the Church to live as One House, then I need to fall on my face and say, 'My God, let me first live as One House. I have no right expecting anyone else to live as One House until I live as One House. I'm still living as my house. I'm still going my way. I'm still asking you to bless 'my life', 'my this', 'my that'. My God, let first my knee bow, let first my tongue confess, let first Thy Son be revealed in me! And then I can believe it will take place in all of Israel, I can believe that you will reveal Him in everyone, until we all come in the unity of the faith - when it starts in ME!' Amen. When I come to that then I find I don't have another sermon to preach to the Church until God reveals His Son in me. I don't have another thing to stand up and tell them they ought to do until God reveals His Son in me. I can't stand up and talk to a divided house as long as I'm divided in my house. "FATHER REVEAL THY SON IN ME!" Samuel did a work in Jesse's house. He did a work in the mighty men, and then in all of Israel. You know why I believe it's taking place? Because it's in the scripture, it's in the pattern. He revealed His Son in me. I'm beginning to see mighty men, mighty men coming together. Not mighty in the world, not mighty in the flesh, mighty in the Lord! Those whose hearts are set upon Him! Those who are exercised in spiritual matters - those kind of men. I'm beginning to see them come together in Him - not out of earthly ambition, but out of a desire to know Him and to live as bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. What is God doing here? What is the pattern? He's bringing about a covenant in Israel. He's bringing Israel in covenant. Do you know what covenant is? COVENANT IS AN UNDERSTANDING GIVEN OF GOD. Covenant is an understanding. You say covenant is an agreement. It's an agreement based upon an understanding. The Old Covenant that Israel operated under, under the Law was one concept of God. The New Covenant is another understanding, another concept revealed by the Holy Spirit. That's the difference between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant. One is of letter, one is Spirit. One is the understanding of man, one is the understanding of the Spirit. Both of them is an understanding of God, but one is controlled by the flesh, the other is revealed by the Spirit. The Old Covenant says thus and so forth, and the New Covenant says more. The Old Covenant keeps God's people at a distance with Him, the New Covenant takes away the distance. The Old Covenant is mediated by Moses, the New Covenant is mediated by Christ Himself! The Old Covenant is written on stone - that's the kind of understanding many of us still have - still written on a page, still written on a stone. The New Covenant is written IN YOU! The New Covenant is the same Word, but rather than being written on a stone, it's written in a heart! It's the same Word! But it's another understanding of that Word. There's only One Word. There's only One Word of God, but there's two understandings - one by the flesh, one by the Spirit. That's what the Covenant is - an understanding - bringing them out from the understanding that they are a people into an understanding that they are A SON! Bringing them out from an understanding that they're twelve tribes into an understanding that they're ONE HOUSE! Bringing them out from an understanding that they're a mixture of seeds into an understanding that they are THE SEED OF GOD HIMSELF! Coming into a new understanding. How does He do it? He brings them together in ONE MAN, brings them together in David. He anointed David those three times. What did David do? Once he was anointed three times, what did he do? He said, "Let's go to Mt. Zion!" He took all of Israel to Mt. Zion. Don't you hear the writer of the book of Hebrews saying, "But ye are come to Mt. Zion." Do you think our heavenly David does less than His type? Do you think that He who is the fulfillment of all that David was does less than His type? David took all of Israel to Mt. Zion! He extradited, he put out of the way, he put out the Jebusites who were dug in there, the workers of the flesh. Jebusites meaning they who trample under foot. He got them out, he put them out of the way. He took all of Israel, he had them all gathered up, he took them all to Mt. Zion, and then what did he do? He named it The City of the Living God! Let's go up to Mt. Zion. Let's go up to Jerusalem. The Jebusites said you're not coming here, but nonetheless, the Bible says David took Mt. Zion and named it the City of the King! The City of David. And once again, Israel began to walk in a new understanding. They now walked in the understanding WE ARE THE CITY OF DAVID! The city is a people! Ye are come to Mt. Zion, the City of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You are brought there, it's not some place you're going, it's someplace you've come. Ye are come to Mt. Zion, the City of the Living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, not the Jerusalem that now is, that is seen by sight and sound - no sir. But that Jerusalem which is from above, the mother of us all. It is of that Jerusalem that you have your birth. You are come to Mt. Zion. You are come to Mt. Zion with a purpose. You've come to Mt. Zion, to the City of God, to the heavenly Jerusalem - David brought all of them there. He brought them all there and then he named it the City of the King. And Israel who was first a nation and then a people, who was first a mixture and then one seed, Israel who was first twelve tribes and then one house - do you see that? Do you see that in the tabernacle that was out in the wilderness, the Holy of Holies was still the place of imperfection, and there was still a veil between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. And between the veil and the Holy Place there was a lampstand, but it had to be renewed all the time. Yes it burned, but it had to be renewed, and it flickered and there were shadows all around. And then over here there was a table of bread, but it was still twelve loaves of bread. But Paul says, "Ye are one bread." You are not twelve loaves, you are one bread! And they are baked with leaven, but you're not baked with leaven - you are an unleavened bread, because CHRIST IS YOUR LIFE! Why? Because the veil is done away, and the light of the knowledge of the glory of God comes forth in the face of Jesus Christ. And it's not the flickering of a lampstand any more. It is the light of the knowledge of God coming forth! The veil is done away, and the light of God is shining out from the Holy of Holies to fill up the Holy Place, to fill up the courts and to fill up the land round about. Do you see the understanding I'm talking about? He's bringing Israel into that, because you know the first thing David did? He brought the Ark of the Covenant back to the top of God's mountain! He brought the Ark of the Covenant into the center of Mt. Zion. He brought the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem, and what did he do? He built a tabernacle just for the Ark of the Covenant! It wasn't veiled, it wasn't shaded - everybody could see the Ark of the Covenant. Everybody could go in and out and behold the Ark of the Covenant. And who did that? David did that! After he had been totally anointed. We're talking about Christ being revealed in you, Christ being revealed in the Father's House, Christ being revealed in the mighty men, Christ being revealed in all of Israel; all of Israel understanding we are raised up together, we are made to be seated together in heavenly places. David took them all to the top of Mt. Zion. Honey, the administration of the Law wouldn't even let them go to the top of Mt Sinai! Under the administration of Moses they were kept down at the foot of Mt. Sinai, and Moses ran back and forth between God and the people. Moses went up and got the Word and came down and gave it to them - back and forth, back and forth, up and down Mt. Sinai ran Moses. The people were back down behind a wall at the bottom of the mountain, in fear, in trembling, not able to approach this God of holiness. That's the Old Covenant. But there's another Covenant that is mediated by Christ, and it's typed in David. He brought the Ark of the Covenant to the top of Mt. Zion and then said, 'Everybody come and see the glory of God!' He drew the curtains back, and the Ark of the Covenant was exposed for the very first time in all of Israel. Oh, the glory of God! No wonder Paul said, " For God hath shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." As God reveals His Son in Israel, His glory begins to fill up Mt. Zion, and Israel begins to walk in the light of God's glory. We have a people who begin to walk in the understanding of the heavenlies, a people who begin to understand what Zion is all about; that they are raised up together, they're made to sit together - a new understanding, a new covenant. Now then, we're in Chronicles. What is the purpose of all this? Why did God anoint David in Israel? Why did He anoint him in the Father's house, and then in the wilderness, and then again in Mt. Zion and bring all the people together in the knowledge of what? What did David bring to Mt. Zion? He brought the Ark of God! What is the Ark of God? It's called the Ark of the Covenant - the Ark of an understanding, the Ark of the Covenant. What has happened? It has been uncovered. It has been set in the midst for all to behold. What is that a type of? What are we seeing there? We're seeing Israel walking in a new understanding before God; we're seeing the very mind of Christ, which is the Ark of the Covenant of God, the understanding of God, the glory of God; we're seeing the mind of Christ being revealed in Mt. Zion! We're seeing a people ceasing to walk after the flesh and beginning to walk after the Spirit. We're seeing a people beginning to walk in the understanding of COVENANT! A people beginning to walk in an understanding of unity with God, oneness with Him, because that's what David is revealing here - that the people are no loner apart, but that the Ark is dwelling in the midst of them! And the veil is done away, and they are beginning to walk in the light of the knowledge of the glory of God as revealed in the face of Jesus Christ. What is this a type of? It's a type of Christ being revealed in the Church! And mediating in you and I - in Mt. Zion - a new understanding, an understanding that we are not at a distance with God, but that we are brought together in Him! A new understanding beginning to fill Mt. Zion! What is it? It is a Body - it is Israel brought into union with her Head. Israel is now seeing that she is not separate from David. Israel is finding her identity in David. What is she called? City of David! What is Jerusalem called? City of David! Jerusalem's not a bunch of buildings, it's a bunch of people! It's a city, the City of David. Before this, do you know what they had called Jerusalem? They named it Jebus. Yes sir, 2 Samuel. They named it Jebus after the father of the Jebusites, after the father of the workers of the flesh, after the father of the tramplers under feet. It was called Jebus. But when David came into Jerusalem with all of Israel, when David set his throne in the top of God's holy mountain - the name changed! And it was no longer called Jebus, Jerusalem was called "City of the King, City of David". You will no longer be called after Jebus, you'll no longer be called after the flesh. But you'll be called "City of the Living God!" Hallelujah! A new understanding coming to us through the revelation of Jesus Christ - a people who are walking in the understanding of God's glory! So David has brought the Ark back in to the top of the mountain for all of Israel to see. Now, what's the purpose? What happens? Let's look at it in 1 Chronicles 22. We've got all of Israel summed up in David. I'm showing you the type, and what the Spirit is now doing. I see it in the scriptures and I know the Spirit must start by revealing Christ in you. I know then there must be a gathering of the mighty men and I know then after that all of Israel will be filled with the knowledge of God, all of Israel will be brought together in her Head, and all of Israel will walk in the understanding of God's glory, all of Israel will walk in the understanding that we are raised up together, we are One, seated in Him. That's something that's coming into Israel - it came by the revelation of David - it's coming through the revelation of Jesus Christ - God revealing His Son! I'm not talking about some new doctrine. I'm talking about God revealing His Son. That's what I'm talking about. I'm talking about God bringing Israel to a new understanding through the bringing forth of a King, and the pattern is so clear, you can't read the Word and not see that pattern indelibly written there, and have to know this is what the Holy Spirit is doing. What's the purpose of it? Why did Israel have to be united with David? Why did Israel have to come to a new understanding? Why? Why did they have to come to Mt. Zion? Why did God bring them there? 1 Chronicles 22:6, " Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel." To build a house for the Lord God of Israel. All there was at this time was a tent that the Ark of the Covenant was in - just the Ark dwelling in the midst of a people. It was God revealing a new understanding in the midst of a people - that understanding was that David is King! But what came out of that understanding? We are One, we are the City of the King - their union with Him! Jesus says, " In that day you will know I am in My Father, and you are in me, and I am in you." The Spirit of Truth will come and cause that understanding - a new covenant. I'm going to write a new covenant in their heart. It will not be like taking them out, I'm going to write a new covenant in their heart. You see this in the scriptures - the scriptures declare this reality. Now then, "...and charged him to build a house. And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house unto the name of the Lord my God..." It was in my mind to do it. You who search the scriptures can see that there is a changing now of the type. David has fulfilled a type of Christ in Israel and Israel has been gathered together under David, and now God is about to take David out from that place. He's about to take David out from there. And there's a new understanding about to come forth in Israel, and there's a change of type here, where David now begins to speak prophetically and begins to be the Father of a Son that is coming forth in Mt. Zion. David now begins to speak as the Father. David begins to declare it was in my heart, it was in my mind to build a house unto the name of the Lord my God. "... But the word of the Lord came to me saying, Thou has shed blood abundantly, thou hast made great wars; and thou shalt not build a house unto my name because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. Behold a son shall be born to thee who shall be a man of rest and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about. For his name shall be Solomon (which means the King of rest, the son of rest, the son of peace), and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days." Do you understand this? "It was in my heart to build a house..." And God said no, but your son - there's coming a son that will build this house. And we are THAT HOUSE. We are spirit of His Spirit, we are life of His Life, we are glory of His Glory - He will bring This Son to light. I want you to see the type, what God has done here. He has brought a people, He has brought nations, He's brought it all the way out of Egypt, He's brought it all together, He's brought it through the wilderness, He's brought it under the Law, He's brought it under Prophets, He's brought it - the hand of God has brought it all along. He's brought it into the understanding of twelve tribes and He's gathering it up into the understanding of ONE HOUSEHOLD. He is uniting the whole thing under the head of David, and it has been a bloody time. It has been a time of warring, and not only against the Philistines, blood has run deep in Israel - they have warred against each other. Look at it. They've killed each other, they've rebelled against each other. Read it for yourself. During the reign of Saul Israel was at war within itself, Israel was fighting itself. David's main warfare was within Israel; bringing Israel together, bringing those tribes together - all of the conniving, all of the backstabbing and all of the rebellion, until finally it all came together under One Head. And there was an understanding throughout all of Israel, from the oldest to the youngest, and David gathered up all of Israel, as one city, and he gathered them up all as it were all in one mountain, and all of Israel saw themselves as going to Mt. Zion, all of Israel saw themselves as being Jerusalem, all of Israel understood that Jerusalem was in Mt. Zion, all of Israel saw themselves for the first time in their existence, they saw themselves as the City of the King! For the first time! They knew they were Israelites, but they didn't know their relationship to the King! And they didn't know their relationship to one another. They knew they were this tribe and that tribe, but about all they did was fight. All of that is coming to an end. It's being brought to an end through the revealing of David. David wanted to build a house, but God said, 'no sir. It is not this type of Christ. This type of Christ brings Israel together. There must come yet a new understanding. I am going to birth a son in Mt. Zion!' Solomon didn't take Mt. Zion, Solomon was born in Mt. Zion. We want to be One House. You see Israel now has seen that they are One City. That's glorious. But now Israel's got to see that they are ONE HOUSE! And that's got to be a new view of Christ. So Solomon takes over where David left off. Solomon comes forth. Who is Solomon? He's the son of wisdom, the son of understanding, the son of knowledge - Solomon is the son of revelation. Solomon is revealed in Israel by HIS OWN FATHER! Do you see what I'm talking about? I'm talking about an understanding that is yet to come into Mt. Zion, but an understanding which God is faithful to. It was in David's heart all the time of David - we don't know when God put it in his heart - but it was in his heart to see One House. All of the other gatherings were wonderful, but David's heart was that God have a house. Pretty soon David said, 'I've got one, God needs one.' All of a sudden the dealings of God in David began to be reflected in all of Israel. There was a time, yes, the first anointing, when all the emphasis was just upon David - David being recognized, David being revealed; Christ revealed in you - just shouting and jumping that I'm a son of God! And it is wonderful. But then there had to be a greater gathering than that. And then it had to be a greater gathering than that. And then it had to come a realization of Mt. Zion. Then the Ark had to be revealed and the glory of God had to fill up Mt. Zion and the people had to see themselves as a city, the City of the Living God, and walk and have free access in and out of God's presence, free access into the Ark of the Covenant. We have to begin to understand it dwells in our midst, that the glory of God is in you! A new understanding. But now another understanding is coming, because it's in the heart of David that there be a house, that Israel now be a house, that God have a House. My God, do you know why? Because the end of this things is that the knowledge of the glory of God shall fill all the earth as the waters cover the sea. And do you understand where that comes from? It comes out from the door of the house that Ezekiel was given to measure! It comes out of the House of God's glory, that's where the knowledge of the glory of God comes out from - it comes out from the house. Jesus says, "I'M THE DOOR!" He talks about the Father's house. He says 'I'm the door to the Father's house, no man comes unto the Father but my me - I'm the door. I'm going to prepare a place for you and I'm going to receive you to myself, so that where I am, there ye may be also. I'm going to send the Spirit of Truth. He's going to proceed out from the Father so that when He comes, you're going to walk in a new understanding, you're going to walk in a new knowledge. You are going to know that as I am in the Father, you are in me and I am in you. You're going to understand that where I am, there you are also.' You move into a new understanding! And David said it will be brought about by A SON, a son to be formed in Israel. This son is born in Mt. Zion, this son is formed, this son is a nature and a character coming forth. The nature - the nature of peace, the nature of rest. There's no warring in this son! He didn't take Zion, he's birthed there. This son is not born while you're still fighting with David. This son is not born while David is still becoming your head. This son is not born while Israel is still running around seeing themselves as twelve tribes. THIS SON IS BORN AFTER DAVID IS HEAD, after David is King, after Israel is walking in the knowledge of the Lord. The result of Israel walking in the knowledge of the Lord is SOLOMON IS BORN. I'm telling you that until we come to this place in David, until we come to this place in Christ, until we come to this place in our heart, until our knee confesses, until David is absolutely Head and ruling, until we're walking in the light of the knowledge of God, until there is a union of the Head and the Body, until David and Israel sets forth is a fulfillment - Solomon is not going to be birthed. What is Solomon? Solomon is THE SON. But what kind of a Son? A SON REVEALED, a Son revealed by His Father, a Son who sits upon the throne of His Father, a Son who rules in the stead of His Father, a Son, the half of which has never been told, a Son of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, such as has never been seen upon the face of the earth, My God! No wonder Paul says, "I'm praying for you. I know of your love toward all saints. I know of your faith." He's commending them. "Now, I'm praying for you that God would give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding..." A Son of wisdom, a Son of Knowledge, a Son of understanding, a Son that comes forth in revealing. And then Paul begins to talk about being changed into the image, taking on the nature. Do you realize that Israel is about to be transformed from war to peace, from turmoil to rest - a new nature! This Son that I'm talking about that's coming forth in answer to Solomon is not a new sermon, it's a new nature, it's a new character. It's not a new doctrine. No sir - a new wisdom, a new understanding, a new relationship. And it's a relationship of peace, and it's a relationship of rest. It is This Son that builds the House of God's Glory. Do you know where he builds it? He builds it on the same mountain that Abraham offered Isaac. Check me out in Bible history - you'll find that I'm correct. The very same mountain where Abraham went to offer Isaac, and God showed him the greater seed, the greater promise. That's the same mountain that the House of God was built on by King Solomon - Mt. Zion. YE ARE COME TO MT. ZION! Who brings you there? Christ, after the type of David. We come there in obedience, we come there when He's our Head. Israel is being gathered together. But Israel is not gathered to Solomon. Solomon comes forth because of the gathering. Nations come to Solomon, nations come seeking his wisdom, nations come seeking his understanding, the nations come seeking his peace, the nations come seeking his rest. The Queen of the South comes to see the house that he built. Do you think I'm telling a fairy tale? Do you think this is just a child's Sunday School Bible story? No sir, this is set forth in the scriptures to be fulfilled in Christ! YOU ARE THAT HOUSE! You are that House! What did Solomon do? He gathered this house up! David spent thirty years getting all the materials - Solomon gathered it all together. Do you know there is an administration of the fulness of times that shall gather together all things in One, even in Christ, both which are in heaven, which are in earth - a gathering has started! The House fitly framed together groweth unto a holy habitation - that's the work of Solomon. That's a HOUSE OF RELATIONSHIP. That's a House of understanding. That's not a people walking out of relationship. That's not built by our own little ideas of what this is - no, we've had all of those and they've served a purpose and a place and a time. But there's got to come a greater understanding. I'm not mad at you over your understanding of holiness, but sooner or later it's got to go beyond foods and drinks and clothes, and it's got to be founded in a PERSON! Sooner or later there's got to be a greater understanding of it, and all of the other too. Sooner or later there's got to come up a gathering of Solomon. That's what we're reading here. The Promise of the Father is first given to the Son Himself. And I want you to see that the promise of this House is first given to the Son. And I'm just silly enough to believe that God will not break covenant with His Son. And if the Son who is in covenant, that is, who is in understanding with the Father... What is His understanding with the Father? WE ARE ONE!! If that Son builds a House through His understanding, then that House is going to understand we are one, and that House that the Son builds will walk in the Son's understanding, will walk in the Son's Covenant. And that House will bring glory to God in the earth. That's the House of John 17. " Oh Father, that they may know... Oh Father, that they may be ... Oh Father, the glory that thou hast given me, that I give to them." That's the House that Solomon built. It's a House of wisdom and knowledge and understanding. It's a House that comes forth by the Son being revealed in you, in a way that He's never been revealed before. His nature and His character and His understanding and His mind being formed in a people. And that people being gathered up all over the earth; that people being gathered up - not to Dallas, not gathered up to Tulsa, not gathered up to Gaffney - gathered up unto Him! Walking in the same knowledge, walking in the same understanding, wherever you find them, they'll be of the same understanding. Wherever you find them, they'll be of the same knowledge - walking in it. Now that's the House that the Son is building. It's the HOUSE OF COVENANT BUILT BY THE SON OF COVENANT! My heart is burning with this, whether I'm talking to ten or whether I'm talking to two hundred, or two thousand, my heart is burning with this, because I sense that the Spirit of God is beginning to reveal that Son in some who in understanding, have come to Mt. Zion. I believe that this things is beginning to be nature and character and relationship - not sermons and lessons and points of doctrine. And I see a House coming together. I see the Son going out and gathering all that the Father has prepared - that none be lost. I see the Son bringing it all together, even bringing in the fragments. Amen, We're going to see how David impregnated this understanding in Solomon and how it became the very understanding of Solomon. And then how Solomon impregnated this understanding in Israel and it became the very understanding of Israel. And because of that new understanding the House was built. I'm telling you as I have never desired before, I'm desiring that God reveal His Son in me. I'm understanding that I've known Him in a portion, and I still know Him in a portion, but I'm desiring that He not be a sermon I preach or a lesson I teach, but that the nature of the Solomon Son, if I can call Him that, the nature of this answer to Solomon - a greater than Solomon is come; a greater wisdom, a greater understanding, a greater knowledge. And there's none on earth like Solomon. Well, this is greater. We're in a greater understanding, a greater wisdom, a greater knowledge. THE COVENANT - the nature of peace and the nature of rest. That's what this House is. No wonder the nations wonder at it - they've never seen anything like it! Thank God for the House that the Son is gathering together! How does it start? I just read that much to you. It starts with THE FATHER REVEALING THE SON. This Son is revealed by the Father. This Son is revealed IN Mt. Zion. This Son is born in Zion and is formed in Zion and rules from Mt. Zion. Upon the shoulder of This Son shall the Kingdom rest, the government rest, the rule and the reign, rest. Not one running around in the wilderness fighting himself. No sir, but one that is come to rest. One who has been brought into union with the Head; one who has bowed the head and confessed with the tongue - Oh Christ, Thou art my Head, we are Thy Body! Now in that people a New Son can come forth. THE SON OF PEACE, THE SON OF REST, THE SON OF WISDOM, THE SON OF UNDERSTANDING - Solomon. Christ can come forth in a new view, in a new view. What's He going to do? He's going to gather together for the House of God's Glory! I love Him, don't you? I'm telling you, we're involved in something more than a religion here. We're involved in God bringing forth a Son who is going to build a House. That House will be the manifestation of God's Glory! Let us let our gatherings be to Him that the Father may speak to us concerning This Son. I trust that we will come out of this time changed in our understanding, changed in our direction - I trust I come out of it changed! AMEN. PART 2 We are dealing with a Covenant House, or a House of Covenant, a House of Relationship. This House is the House that the Covenant Son built. We've talked as a foundation to this, about the pattern of this - I've shown you the pattern in the scripture. How many of you know that the Holy Spirit follows patterns? He follows His pattern. You can try to do it however you want to do it, but the Holy Spirit follows patterns. Sometimes I wonder why isn't it working, and the Lord says, 'Go back and check the pattern!' And I find that I'm out of pattern. The Lord is just going right along, sometimes it seems very methodical, but He's going right along, He's working after the pattern, and I'm off out here trying to figure out what's going on. If I get back into the pattern, I begin to see what the Lord is doing. The Lord does all things in order. He is a God of order, and He has set forth that pattern in Christ Jesus. He has set forth that pattern in the scriptures and the pattern of the scriptures is fully revealed in Christ Jesus. A lot of times we can see the pattern in the scriptures and we still don't understand because the revealing of that pattern is locked up in the knowing of the Son Himself! But nonetheless, the pattern, when rightly divided, the scriptures clearly set forth the pattern. And they are rightly divided when we go there seeking the revealing of the Son. And we begin to see Him, and the scriptures being rightly divided, that is the scriptures being illuminated in the knowledge of the Lord - we see clearly the pattern of His life, and the pattern of that which is being worked out in us. And there is this business of the bringing forth of Israel. We've seen how Israel has been brought forth out of Egypt; not only that, but being brought forth out of the wilderness, and brought forth out of the wilderness into Canaan. We understand then that Israel is brought forth into Canaan for a reason, a purpose. And the purpose of that is founded in David. And until David began to be revealed in Israel, God accomplished His purpose in Israel through judges, through prophets, through this one and the other that He set up, keeping them unto the coming of David. Now as usual, as we do, so Israel did - they jumped out ahead of God, and they got themselves a King. It was God's purpose that they have a King, but Saul wasn't the King that God purposed. God has a purpose, but so many times we run out ahead of the purpose. It was God's purpose that Abraham have a son, but Ishmael wasn't that son. And it was God's purpose that Israel have a King, but His purposed King was not Saul - it was David. And it's a period of time, it's a period of waiting, and this waiting business has become very clear in me, that there is a purpose in waiting before the Lord. Seeing the pattern, and then rather than trying to run out and do the pattern, just abiding in the pattern and waiting for the Lord to bring forth His perfect will, His perfect work in the earth. In patience possessing our souls. What is patience? Patience is the ability to wait on the coming of the Lord in everything, in every situation, in every relationship. If you pray with patience, you pray until you see the Lord. If you search the scriptures with patience, you search until you see the Lord, not until you find another doctrine - but until you see the Lord. If you pray with patience, you pray until you see the Lord - not just until you get your prayer answered. And if you have a relationship with patience, you stay with it until the Lord comes forth in the midst of that relationship. And everything that is done in patience continues until the Lord comes forth. A lot of times He has to put us in diverse means of trials and tribulations to do what? To work patience! These things work patience, but let patience have her perfect fruit. We are put in situations until we finally say, 'I'll just wait on the Lord' - and that is when He comes forth! That's where Israel is - Israel in a time of waiting. It looks like turmoil, looks like strife, but it's a time of waiting. And God's answer to Israel's waiting was to begin to reveal David in a way that no one had every been revealed in Israel before. The waiting of Israel has it's culmination in the anointing of David; David coming forth as King in Israel, and it was through three separate anointings that this took place. First, he was anointed in his father's house - that's you. There has to be the revealing of Christ in you. How many times have we as believers and ministers run out and we've tried to build up a Church that looked like Jesus? We know that one is coming forth in the earth, so we're going to go do it! How many times have we tried to put together a fellowship, or a program within a fellowship - and make it work? Or maybe it was trying to draw a fellowship together and institute certain ministries within it that would cause it to remain, out of the desire to see a fellowship come forth in the earth, in the Lord. And that's a noble desire - to see brethren walk in unity, walk in peace, walk in the fellowship of the Lord; to see there come forth a fellowship that actually manifests something of Jesus in the earth. The scriptures say that must take place. But it's not going to take place - there isn't going to be a coming together of Israel in any measure until David is first revealed in Jesse's house, until David is first anointed in his father's house. 1 Samuel 16. Until Christ is first revealed in you - you're the Father's House! Not only are you the Body of Christ, you are the Father's House. " In my Father's house there are many abiding places. I go there to prepare a place for you." Where? " I go in my Father's house to prepare a place for you." Where did He go? He went to the cross! What did He do? He died! What did He do? He came forth in Resurrection Life! " I will return then, and I will receive you unto myself. I will receive you into myself. That where I am there ye may be also." " And in that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in me and I am in you." Hallelujah! You're the Father's House. Jesus says, " I am the door." A door has got to be to a house. A door indicates a house. "I am the door." The door to what? THE DOOR TO THE FATHER'S HOUSE! "No man can come unto the Father but by me." You are the Father's House. He's got to first be revealed in the Father's House. The first place David was anointed wasn't on top of Mt. Zion, it wasn't before all the priests, it wasn't before all the tribes, it wasn't in Judah. The first place he had to be revealed was in his own father's house, the house of Jesse down in Bethlehem. "Get up Samuel, quit praying for Saul, fill up your horn." This is a full work of the Holy Ghost. Now honey, we've been saved, we've been baptized in the Holy Ghost, we've operated gifts, we've got blessings - but there is coming in you and me a full horn experience, a full horn of oil, a full work of the Holy Ghost. Samuel is being told 'Fill up your horn with oil, go down to the father's house and pour every bit of it upon the head of my King. I have a King. I have a King among his sons.' The full work of the Holy Spirit is to reveal the Son of God in you first. First this thing must be done in the Father's House, and we can try to put together organizations until we grow old and tried, but until Christ is revealed in the Father's House, there is no gathering of Israel in any form at all. And I have tried it all. I have tried to bring forth some sort of a fellowship among brethren for years. We've tried various meetings, Saturday prayer groups of Pastors, monthly fellowship meetings - they last a while. We have tried to bring it together; not deceitfully, honestly tried to bring it together. But until He's revealed in the Father's House it isn't going to come together. I don't care how good you are, it isn't going to work. I didn't tell you it isn't going to happen, I'm telling you it isn't going to work that way. So you just have to wait. What are we waiting on? We're waiting on Him to be revealed! Everytime I just go back and fall on my face and say, 'Reveal Your Son in me!' You see because usually during those times of trying somebody's fallen out or somebody's gotten upset, and it always ends up worse than before you started with it. But look at the pattern - don't try to get a better program or a better public relations man; don't say we should have given them more notice. Look at the pattern. Until Christ is revealed in the Father's House, there isn't going to be a gathering. I have people from time to time who say 'Brother Luman, are you still harping on this business of Christ being revealed in the believer? When are you going to talk about something else?' And my answer is always - when He's revealed in the believer. When He's revealed in us and we walk in the fulness of Him - we'll talk about something else. We'll quit talking about Christ being revealed in the Father's House when He is the fulness of the Father's House. When He's revealed in every room of the Father's House and the Father's House is walking in the mind of the Son, then we can go on to something else. 'Til the Son is revealed in you and I - not theologically, spiritually - in reality. Not until we accept that there is such a thing - until it happens! Not until we consent that yes, God does that, but until we're walking in the doing of it, and even beyond that we will yet declare the necessity of Christ being revealed in you. There is the pattern - the pattern goes on. Having been revealed in the father's house, David has become an outcast in Jerusalem that now is, he was provided a hiding place by the Philistines at Ziklag and mighty men began to be drawn out to him. And then Judah began to come to him - his own brethren, we've talked about that, and he was anointed King. And then after that all of Israel was gathered to him. This gathering up of Judah, this gathering up of the mighty men was in Hebron - it lasted for 7 1/2 years - for 7 1/2 years God built a fellowship of brethren around the anointing of David. Such a fellowship - I didn't say an organization, I said a fellowship. He didn't create a new tribe - He created a fellowship within the tribe of Judah. He didn't add the thirteenth tribe to the twelfth, He didn't say we need a new tribe here. No, that isn't what He did. He brought forth a new understanding in Judah! What did they understand? DAVID IS KING! He revealed David, He anointed David. See what I'm talking about? Revealing His Son, revealing Christ. For 7 1/2 years a fellowship was formed around David - for 7 1/2 years. " God is faithful who has called us unto the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord." " We declare these things unto you that you might have fellowship with us, for truly our fellowship is with the Father and the Son." Paul said, " I have received the grace of God that I may make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery..." That first had to form, and David was exalted in Judah, and then all of Israel came looking for him. All of Israel came, in the third anointing all of Israel came and they anointed David King of all of Israel. He was revealed for the first time; the understanding that David is King filled all of Israel - it wasn't rumored, it wasn't innuendoed, it was revealed by the Holy Anointing Oil, it was revealed - it was an act of the Holy Ghost, an act of a Divine Priesthood. David was revealed as King in all of Israel. And all of Israel was joined together in the headship of David and went to Mt. Zion. David took Israel to Mt. Zion, that is Israel became a city set on a hill, a light for all the nations to see! David took them all to Mt. Zion, David brought the Ark of the Covenant back to Mt. Zion and for the first time in their history Israel walked in the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ! Israel walked in the light of the Ark of the Covenant. For the first time ever it wasn't behind curtains, it wasn't behind skins - for the first time ever the Ark of the Covenant was set in the top of Mt. Zion open for all of Israel to see. And they walked in the knowledge of the glory of God. That's what happens when David is fully revealed. That's what happens and shall happen when Christ is fully revealed. You'll have a people in the earth - not just revealed in you - but a gathering coming to Him. Not just of the mighty men and Judah, not just a tremendous fellowship, but all of Israel gathered up. You'll have a people in the earth walking in the Headship of their King; walking in the mind of Christ; and they'll be walking in the glory of God! Walking in the knowledge of the glory of God! Yes sir, a people in the earth living as they are in Mt. Zion, as they are in the heavenlies. "You've come to Mt. Zion, the City of the Living God, heavenly Jerusalem." What is that? You are raised up together, you're made to be seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! I'm looking for a people who will walk on the earth as an expression of their being in heavenly places. That's what Israel in type here becomes. They went to the top of Mt. Zion and they became a city, founded upon the top of the mount they were named the City of the King. There is coming forth in the earth a people who will live in Mt. Zion; they will live in the knowledge of the Lord; they will live in heavenly places in the earth; they will live in the earth as in Mt. Zion; they will live as the City of the King; they will live as the light to all nations - a city set on a hill, the light of which is CHRIST HIMSELF! Theirs is not the natural light of the sun and the moon, theirs is not the natural light of the evening and the morning. Theirs is the light of the Lamb of God Himself! Theirs is the light of the revealed Son of God Himself! Theirs is the light of the Ark of the Covenant! A city - a people who understand they are the City, they understand they're a City that hath a foundation, and they understand they're the City of God, and they understand they're the City of God set in heavenly places! Mt. Zion! And they understand that the King is the Head and the Ruler, and the name of their City, the City that they are. Now that's a long way from "tribal" understanding. That's a long way from saying we're twelve tribes. "We're a people, we're a people of God." We're more than a people of God - we're The City! What gives the city it's recognition? David! Who named it? David! When did he name it? When he was finally anointed by all of Israel - when he was revealed in all of Israel! " Until we all come in the unity of the faith, to the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the fulness of the stature of Christ; that we be no longer...blown about..." and scattered, but we live as a City, whose light is Christ. A light to the nations. Beyond the City is the House. Not only a City, thank God - a House. But there's an order - a house doesn't just jump up and say 'here I am.' There's got to come forth a Son in the City, in Mt. Zion, in heavenly places, in the midst of Jerusalem (Jerusalem is a people), in the midst of the mountain (the mountain is the high place of God where His people dwell). There's got to come forth a Son there, a Son such as the world has never seen before, a Son the half of which has not been told, a Son who will sit on His Father's Throne in that City, a Son who will be revealed of the Father Himself, and a Son who will build a House of God's Glory, and out of that House, the Glory of God will fill all the earth, and the nations will come to that House, and the Queen of the South will come to that House. But the House will not get built until there is a Son come forth in the midst of Zion. Do you see this pattern? The first has to be the revealing of Christ after the pattern given in David. That's the gathering up of Israel. That's a people coming to the knowledge "HE IS IN ME, WE ARE IN HIM" and living that way. That's a people coming to the knowledge "WE ARE NOT TRIBES, WE ARE A CITY, WE ARE SET ON A MOUNTAIN" and living that way. That's a people walking in the light - in the name, in the knowledge, in the understanding of One Headship - One King. You see all that this is? The Glory of God, the Ark! In the midst of that City, in the midst of that people - that people who are joined to their Head - One Body joined to One Head - One Body. Israel finally joined to her head, Israel summed up in David, Israel not finding her identity outside of David, Israel walking as The City of David. Israel saying 'above everything we are the City of David!' Everything is finding its identity in David. And in the midst of such a people, a Son comes forth - a Son of wisdom, a Son of understanding, a Son of knowledge, a Son of peace, a Son of rest, a Son of revelation. What am I saying? This Son is a type of Christ being formed in a people in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge; Christ being formed in a people in character, in nature. This is a Covenant Son. THIS IS A SON OF DIVINE RELATIONSHIP. We're about to move into some relationships! Relationships - I can't say this the way I want to say it but - There is a son beginning to be formed in Mt. Zion! Because you see, the gathering is unto Him, and He is being revealed in the Father's House. He's been revealed in many of you, and a gathering of Judah has begun, yes sir. And a hunger is building in the Church to just know Him! All of that is taking place. God is always working way out in front of what is actually happening. And I believe He's bringing us to a time where we're going to see Christ after the order of David revealed in the Father's House, and we're going to see Christ after the order of David lifted up in a gathering unto Him. What do you mean 'Christ after the order of David'? David dealt strictly with Israel; Solomon dealt with the nations - David dealt with Israel. We've got to see Israel gathered up first. And then within Zion - see, Solomon didn't take Zion, Solomon was born in Zion. Solomon didn't conquer anybody, Solomon was born in a conquered people. David did the conquering. Solomon came forth in peace and in rest, in wisdom and knowledge and understanding. What's going to fill all the earth? The knowledge of the glory of the Lord, the wisdom of God, the understanding of the Lord. What is going to fill the people? "THEY SHALL KNOW ME." What did Paul pray for the Church? " That God ... would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding..." You see he's praying for this Son. What did he tell the Galatian Church? " Oh that Christ be formed in you." I'm telling you that we're on the brink of the revealing of The Son in you and I in a way that He's never been revealed before. The revealing of Christ before - and I know He still must be revealed that way in some - but Christ is going to be revealed in some as never before. Before it has been Christ revealed in me to put down the old man. It's been a struggle. Christ revealed in me in a conquering way, bringing me to the knowledge that I am dead and He's my life, and there's been a fight and a struggle between the old man and the New Man, and me deciding whether I want to be a son of God or not. And the emphasis has been on the old man dead - the old man, the old man. But I'm telling you there's coming a revealing of Christ after a new order coming forth in peace, coming forth in rest. And the emphasis is not going to be upon the fact that the old man is dead, the emphasis is going to be strictly upon the ruling and the reigning of Christ - not in struggle but in peace. In other words, there is coming forth a people whose nature shall be Christ, whose character shall be Christ! You see Israel became what Solomon was. Israel became what David was then Israel became what Solomon was. The very nature, the very wisdom, the very understanding of Solomon was revealed in Israel - that's how the House got built. First David gave the vision and the pattern to Solomon, and David and Solomon were in covenant together. Then Solomon had to give the vision, the pattern to the people, and the people came into covenant with him - that is they received his mind. And so while Israel was one way under David, it was another way under Solomon. There is that revealing of Christ that is tearing down and breaking down and bringing into submission and bringing unto control - yes, Him becoming Head. But then, there is that revealing where He comes forth in His nature and in His character, in His rest, His peace, His wisdom. And that's what the nations are looking for. They are not looking for a people who are still trying to decide whether they're going to be sons of God or not; they're not looking for a people who are still trying to find whether their life is in the earth or in the heavens. That's not the answer to a world, that's not the answer to a creation. They are not looking for people who still trifle, who are still fighting each other, and who is trying to figure out who's the greatest among us. The world is not looking for that, the creation is not groaning for that. But they are looking for a people after the nature of a Solomon, after the nature and character of a King Solomon - King of Righteousness, King of Peace. They're looking for a wisdom they don't have, and an understanding they don't have and a knowledge they don't have; and I'm not talking about how to send a shuttle around the moon! It's that which Solomon is. So before there can be a House that manifests this in the earth there's got to be a Son to build the House. Let's look at the Son. I Chronicles 22:6-9," Then he called for Solomon his son..." Who? David. I want you to see - this is wonderful! Look in verse 5, the last few words. "So David prepared abundantly before his death." See, the passing out of one view of Christ giving way for the coming in of another view of Christ - a greater view of Christ. We haven't seen Him yet in His fulness - we've just seen views, but there's just one greater view after another greater view - and it all culminated in His fulness! It's going to all culminate in a many-membered Son filling the heavens and the earth with the knowledge of the glory of His Father! One view of Him after another - that's the way God does - God just brings His Son into different views. "Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the Lord God of Israel." This House starts off with a covenant and it's going to end up manifesting a covenant! What is covenant? Covenant is an understanding given of God whereby two walk as ONE! Two, three, four, two thousand, two million - because the covenant is strong enough. You can add infinity to it and it remains unbroken because it's established in the Father! Man's covenant - a lot of time two men get together and agree and they make a covenant. You add one more man to it, and it messes it up. I have noticed that a lot of us walk in covenant as long as we keep the circle real close. So we've got little cliques and clans - and you're part of this circle, but God forbid you try to be part of this circle over here - because if you do, you can't be part of this one any more. You see I didn't understand why that was until this thing began to open to me, and I thought, 'My God, it's all part of the pattern.' This covenant starts with the FATHER AND THE SON. You can add to it to infinity, just keep on adding to it. This covenant was built to be added to. This understanding that the Father gave to the Son not only is meant to fill all of Israel, this understanding must fill all of Israel. It is the Father's plan that all of Israel walk before Him in the understanding of the Son - in the COVENANT OF THE SON. It is the Father's plan that all of Israel see that they are One with Him just like the Son is One with Him! Man's covenant has to be kept pretty tight. Certain ones can't be added. Why? Because it's always based on something less than The Son, that's why. They may be good things - I'm just saying it's less than The Son. And it just produces little groups, none of which are fully manifesting Christ - all of which love Him, but none of which are manifesting Him. David called Solomon first and he made a covenant with him. He said, "Build this house." He put him in an understanding, he put him in a pattern. See, David had the pattern, he gave it to Solomon. Don't you see the Father and the Son in this? Don't you see, "In the beginning God ... In the beginning was the Word, and the Word came out..." Don't you see that? That the Son is in covenant with the Father, and before there can be a functioning House, that the covenant of the Son must be revealed in the many-membered House, the many-membered Body. So that the House walk in the same covenant. This House doesn't start with some man's ambition to do something for God. It starts out with a COVENANT! " So David said to Solomon, my son, as for me, it was in my mind to build a house unto the name of the Lord my God, but the word of the Lord came to me saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly..." See, David's type in Israel was bringing them into subjection. He said the House is not going to come out of that. But there will come forth A SON out of that, and HE WILL BUILD THE HOUSE! Because the House is going to come together automatically. This is beautiful. When this House starts coming together it is joyous - you don't hear the sound of chisels, file, hammer - nothing. And you understand that this is brought together. It has been fully prepared and now the wisdom of Solomon is bringing it together! David spent all of his life getting the materials laid up for it; Solomon comes in and starts gathering them together, in wisdom, in knowledge, in understanding; being revealed in the midst of them, and the result of it is a House comes together. David's got all the material laid up, He's already planned it all, but the Son brings it together. Until it is fitly joined together and growing up into Him who is the Head, into a holy habitation for God. That's the House you are! That's the House you're becoming! But only through the working of the nature of The Son in us; only through the understanding of the Son; only when the same covenant that the Son walks in with the Father; only when you and I begin to walk in that same covenant understanding. When you and I actually do, honestly, by the Spirit, begin to see ourselves as One, even as we are One Father - do you understand? John 17. When the understanding that the Father gave to the Son works in us, when the same covenant understanding that the Father gave to the Son is by the revealing of the Son working in us - automatically the result of it - THE SON - in revelation; THE SON - in wisdom; THE SON - automatically the thing starts coming together, not with the sound of hammer, not with the sound of man - but in the wisdom of the Son! Oh my God! I'm so excited about this because I believe with all of my heart, by the Spirit, by the scripture that we 're entering into the time of that Son - the dispensation of the fulness of time is upon us! God is bringing forth a Priesthood to shoulder the Ark of the Covenant. He's bringing forth some sons of the Priesthood who know what time it is and what Israel ought to do. Solomon - a new view of Christ is set before us. Verse 9. " Behold a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about." Look at Hebrews. What does the Father say to the Son? What did the Son do? He came out from the beginning. " In the beginning God..." God, the Elohim God. He planned, He had the purpose, He saw One Son, but One Son made up of many sons. That's what the Father saw - that's the House - One House - THE HOUSE OF ONE SON, the Body of One Son - that's what the Father saw. Ephesians says that - "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings, all spiritual fulness in heavenly places in Christ, according as he hath chosen us in Him, from before the foundation of the world." From the beginning God saw this House. From the beginning it was in His heart to have such a House. " In the beginning was the Word." The Word was there too. The Word came forth out from the beginning. To do what? What did He say He came to do? "FINISH THE WORK THAT THE FATHER GAVE ME TO DO." What is it? I just read it to you. 'BUILD ME A HOUSE.' That covenant in the beginning - Build me a House. I want a House. But God doesn't live in bricks and stones, but in one many-membered Son, all of Whom, and each of Whom are not other than ONE SON! Here is the Son that is neither male not female, black or white, Jew or Greek, bond or free. Here is THE SON THAT IS CHRIST ALL AND IN ALL! That's the House that God saw from the beginning. The Son came forth as The Word made flesh - THE COVENANT. The Word is The Covenant - THE WORD - THE COVENANT. He came forth. What did He do? He finished it! On the cross He finished it. "IT IS FINISHED." And now He's raised up and made to sit at the right hand of the Father. And because of His finished work, everyone that came by way of the cross, is raised up together and made to sit together in the same place that He sits - in heavenly places IN HIM! And what is the Father's word to Him? " Sit here at my right hand until I make all of your enemies your footstool." Where are His enemies? Where were David's enemies? The Philistines? No, the Philistines gave him Ziklag. Who were David's enemies? David's enemies were found in Mt. Zion, David's enemies were the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the inhabitants of Mt. Zion, who had dug in and said 'you're not going to rule here, you're not going to come here.' David's enemies are found in you and I. David's enemy is in our heart - Jesubites, the workers of the flesh, the trodders under of the things of God - the Jebusites. What has God told him? 'Sit here in rest, while I make your enemies your footstool, while I bring everything in subjection to you.'" I will give him rest from all his enemies round about, for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days." There's a work going on here. There's a work going on in the heavenlies. A Son of peace and rest is being revealed. When you enter into His rest you cease the living of your own life. He that has entered into His rest has ceased his own work, he's ceased his own struggles, he's ceased his own life. Do you understand? 'Sit here while I make your enemies your footstool. Sit here while I bring peace and rest in Israel. Sit here while I reveal. Sit here because every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess - sit here. You have finished the work, now sit here while I reveal the work, while I magnify you.' You've got to see it through the pattern. David went right on then. David gathered up all of Israel and David said, "SOLOMON IS KING!" What's happening here? The Father is revealing the Son, not after the form of David now, as we talked about back in the Father's house. Now He's revealing the Son in a new vision, in a new way. He is the Son now as the Peace of Israel. He is revealing the Son as the rest of Israel. He is revealing the Son as the wisdom, the understanding, the knowledge. It's a new view now. Yes sir, bringing all of His enemies beneath His feet, tearing down every high place that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought in subjection unto Christ. Why? THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE FULL - that His peace, that His rest...that we may live in the heavenlies, in an understanding we have no life but Christ! And He begins to gather the House together in the knowledge of Himself, He begins to gather the House together in His wisdom, in His understanding, in His knowledge. It's a HOUSE OF COVENANT, the understanding of the Son. Verse 19, " Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Arise therefore and build the sanctuary of the Lord. Bring the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord and the holy vessels of God unto the House that is built to the name of the Lord." Bring the Ark of the Covenant in. There's a place that's a HOUSE OF COVENANT. Bring the Ark of the Covenant. The center of this House is the Ark of the Covenant - the full revealing of Christ - the Ark of the Covenant. It's not a house of law - it's a HOUSE OF COVENANT. It's not a divided house - it's One House, One Head, One Mind, One Understanding, One Wisdom, a tremendous House, folks. " So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son King over Israel, and he gathered together all the princes of Israel with the Priests and the Levites." What did he do? He declared to them all - SOLOMON IS KING! I'm telling you, we're coming into that time, when Solomon - not Christ after the view of David... And I'll tell you that most have not come to that yet. But beyond that, Christ after the view of Solomon. That's going to bring forth a House. You see, out of nations - one nation; out of peoples - one people; out of tribes - one city; in the midst of the city - one House; in the midst of the House - ONE SON! This is the work of God! This is what you're part of! It all revolves around the revealing of Christ! View after view after view, it's the same Christ being revealed, just in a greater view, a greater view - but it's the same Christ. There's no place to stop and say, 'Oh yes, I know that. I've heard that sermon ...' There's no place to stop and say that. There's just a greater view of Christ. The greater view of Christ until there appears in the earth A HOUSE THAT IS ONE WITH HIM UNTO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER! AMEN. PART 3 The Covenant House, the House of Covenant is the House that the Covenant Son built, the House that Solomon built. We are seeing the pattern of what the Lord is doing by His Spirit in Jesus Christ more clearly. There is a House coming forth in the earth - a House of God's Glory. And it is given unto the Son to build that House. And you are that House. Now individually you are stones in that House, but collectively, you are that House; individually you are members, but collectively you are the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ. We don't get too far individually - we don't make a very big splash individually. You can come against almost any member of your body and do almost anything you want to it, cause grave injury to it. But it's not quite so easy to come against the body when the whole body is mobilized in defense - that's not so easy even then to injure the members. So we're not presenting the truth of the fact that you are stones - you are lively stones; that Christ is in you, that you're born again. Yes, all of that, but for what purpose? When we by the Spirit of God begin to grasp hold of this thing - that we are born again for a reason; and the reason is not just to be born again. We are born again for a reason; we are lively stones for a purpose, and it's not just because God needs a rock pile! It's not because He needs lively stones. " We are his workmanship, created of God in Christ Jesus" for a purpose. There's a purpose to all of this. And while I will sing and shout with you over the fact that I'm saved from sin and delivered from sin, and delivered from the power of darkness, and baptized in the Holy Spirit - praise God for it! But there's a reason - now having been born again - NOW WHAT? Now having been filled with the Spirit - NOW WHAT? Now having received of Christ - NOW WHAT? Now having been cut out of the rock - NOW WHAT? Now having been brought forth out of the old man and set in the New Man - NOW WHAT? What's the purpose of all this? And in looking at God's dealing with Israel it is indisputable to the true Bible searcher as to what the purpose of it all actually is. It's all coming down to THE HOUSE OF GOD'S GLORY! It's all coming down to a House - to a House filling up the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God as the waters cover the sea. So we're in 1 Chronicles and we're in chapter 29 now. I have laid before you a pattern that you may consider before the Lord. Let the Spirit of the Lord make the application in your life and bring forth the knowledge of His Son. " Furthermore David the King said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom ALONE God hath chosen..." Oh my Lord, immediately my mind jumps over to 1 Corinthians 1:26, " For you see your calling brethren, how that not the mighty, not the noble, not the great,... but rather the weak, the despised,... they that are not..." Why? "That no flesh shall glory in His presence... That, as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." That you and I will understand that there's only ONE truly chosen of God - that there's only ONE true chosen Son. We are chosen in Him from before the foundation of the world. So God's never really been impressed with J W Luman, because before the foundation of the world the choosing has been made, and we are chosen in Him. I didn't say chosen to be in Him, I said chosen in Him. Chosen in Him - He is the chosen One. He is the chosen Son. And when the Holy Spirit comes He'll bring that to your attention and He'll bring that to my attention, that no flesh shall glory in His presence. " ... whom alone God has chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God. Now I have prepared with ALL MY MIGHT for the ..." David danced before the Lord with all of his might. He says," I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God, the gold for the things to be made of gold, the silver for things of silver, the bronze for things of bronze, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance." It sounds like materials to build something out of. Do you understand that you are this material? And that we have this treasure in earthen vessels? And that the gold of it and the silver of it and the precious stones of it and the onyx and the cedar of it - and all of that speaks actually of the nature of Christ Himself that is in you! They speak of the nature of Christ that is in you, of whom you are born. And that when you were born again, brought out of this race and this creed and this nationality, and out of that household, some out of Smiths and some out of Joneses, and some out of whites and some out of blacks - notice I said out of, not in - out of - brought out of. Earthen vessels brought out of. Earthen vessels - clay pots - nothing in themselves. " See your calling, brethren..." Nothing in ourselves, nothing of ourselves, no where to glory. " But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us." It was David that did the preparing. You can read it in the Kings and Chronicles. From all over the country, from other areas, from remote areas, some of this came in by shipload, some of this came in from as far as hundreds of miles away, some of this came in from places where other Kings were ruling. David prepared for the building of the House. David didn't build it, David assembled the materials for its building. God has been assembling materials for this House for a long time! He's assembling materials in places we don't even know about! David sent out ambassadors, sent out runners, sent out workmen - SENT OUT - it reads that way - he sent out hewers of wood and sent out chiselers of stone. Solomon didn't do this. David did this. Solomon is the son of wisdom, knowledge, understanding. Solomon is the son of revelation that brought it all together. But David assembled the materials. My God. Here David is the type of the Father. There is a position where David is the type of Christ, but now David assumes a new role, David goes over into a new type. And he's now a type of the Father, and Solomon becomes the type of the Son. And it is in the heart of David to have a House; it is in the heart of the Father to have a House. "Where is the place of my rest? Where shall I dwell?" "I HAVE CHOSEN ZION, the Father says, "HEREIN WILL I DWELL. THIS IS THE PLACE OF MY REST." And then Paul says, " Ye are come to Mt. Zion, the city of the Living God." The dwelling place of the Most High, and you're that House! You are the material for it. I'm telling you, the scriptures right through Ezekiel and Isaiah speak of that House coming together for a visible habitation of God in the earth. The scripture speaks of a House that shall fill up the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God, and it's not a physical house, but THE HOUSE YOU ARE! I want us to understand that. We use these buildings, and that's wonderful, but you are the building, you are the House. We rejoice when God provides and we build buildings, but that's not the House - that's where the House is being built. Our physical buildings are not the House, this is where it's being built. We're the House - we've got to get a hold of that. The building places are extremely important, but what's being built is more significant, more important, and in fact gives purpose to the places where it's being built. Because if the House is not being built there, then the place has no purpose. I want you to see this. I want you to see that the only importance of the places where David sent out and gathered up was that a building was being built, these materials were being assembled there, for the building of the House of God! And if in this place material is being assembled, then that gives importance to this place. But if there's not a House being assembled here, then this place has no significance whatsoever. That's true - it might as well be a paint store or a Laundromat, or any number of things if something is not being assembled there. There are a lot of places that are designed to be places where the House is being built, but nothing is being built there. Those places are without purpose, and are taking up time, space and money - they have no purpose. But thank God for places where the Building is being built! David sent out and prepared - I want you to know there's been a preparation going on. I'm thinking now of some insignificant, some little unknown missionary sent out by some unimportant, unheralded organization, finding their way cross country through peril into the heart of China, laying down their life, nobody knew about it. But in the process of doing that unheralded, some stones were prepared for this House that we are. Don't tell me that the thing is not going to be assembled, for there is an administration coming forth that is gathering up all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are in the earth! Hallelujah! I'm telling you this is a House like never has been seen on the face of the earth before! I'm thinking of those that have been sent out. Somebody gathered me up one time, somebody gathered you up one time. And I can see now during the ministry of David and during the rule of David, these stones are just laying there cut, and all these trees are hewn, but they are just laying there - all this stuff. Somebody wandering around says, 'I wonder what David wants with all these stones, with all of these timbers, don't make any sense to me. I wonder why he's bringing gold in here by the boat load, and why he's bringing up silver in here and cornering the market on all of that. I wonder what all this stuff is for? The Ark is sitting under a tent.' But David had in his heart to build a House for God! See it wasn't revealed in Israel, it wasn't yet revealed in Israel, but David had a reason for assembling all that is listed here. " Moreover because I have set my affection upon the house of my God, I have of my own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house." Not only has the Father gathered up from, as it were, the four corners, but He says I have out of my own proper goods - I have invested into this House. I have not withheld from it My Only Son; I have not withheld from it the fulness of My Spirit; I have not withheld from it all that I have; I have invested into it out of my storehouse, out of my own proper goods! " For in Him dwelleth the fulness of the Godhead bodily, and ye are complete in Him." I want you to see the parallel here, and the purpose of it, because it's to be a House like no other house has ever been. He starts out by saying this thing is not being built for man, this is not a palace for man, this is a Palace for the Most High God!. So He says, 'I have not withheld out from my own proper good, I've emptied out heaven for this thing, I've withheld nothing back from this House.' That excites me! For in Him it pleased the Father that all fulness should dwell, and in Him dwelleth all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and in Him dwelleth the fulness of God and in Him dwelleth you and I, for the purpose of a House being built! This was a vision in the heart of David a long time before it became a reality. Had it never been a vision it would have never become a reality; had it not been a desire it never would have become a work, and until you and I get a hold of this same vision, this same desire and set our affection in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, set our affection not on the things of the earth - until this same vision literally possesses us, it will not become a visible reality. It doesn't mean the vision isn't real, it doesn't mean the desire isn't real, it doesn't mean the Eternal Plan of God is not secure, but it depends upon - a people coming into that vision, because God's House is not sticks and stones - it's a people! Let's go on in verse 6, " Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly, and gave for the service of house of God..." Then it tells of gold and silver, and all of that. Verse 9 says, " Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with a perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord; and David the king also rejoiced with great joy." Because the people got a hold of the thing, the understanding. That's what 'a perfect heart' means. The people came into the understanding of David, they came into the vision of David. He wasn't seeing one House and they seeing another House; he wasn't seeing one vision and they seeing another vision, they had a perfect knowledge, a perfect understanding - they came into the thing perfectly. And when they did they gave everything they had! And they did it with joy. And then David comes back and prays this prayer, 'My God, we're rejoicing that we gave all this and brought it all to you; all that I've gathered up, all that I've given out, all that the people have given.' And he says, 'But why, why do we rejoice? For we have done nothing except give unto thee that which thou hast given unto us!' He comes to that realization - all we've done - what have we got to put into this thing that He didn't give me? The treasure is in the earthen vessel because the Father put it there! What have I done when I lay down my life? I lay down what He has given to me! What do I do when I invest everything that I am? I only invest what He has made Christ unto me, for I am nothing and have nothing that He hasn't made me in Christ, that He hasn't given to me - whether it's spiritual or tangible, seen or unseen - it doesn't make any difference, He has given it! But when I see that it's going into the House that we are, I'll give it willingly. Nobody will have to explain to me why I've got to be faithful and explain why we have to do this or that. I'm just giving it to the House that we are. I'm just investing it in the House that we are. Somebody might have to explain to you why you need to give something to your next door neighbor, but nobody has to explain to you why you need to put money in your savings account. You just invest it into your house - the House that you are. And when the knowledge of the Lord comes into us perfectly, when David's vision comes to us, we just put it in the House that we are - nobody has to explain that to us. It's not a big deal. We just say, 'All I'm doing is giving Him back what He gave me. He invested this in me - I'm giving it back to Him.' God has made all of these investments. We have this treasure in earthen vessels, but there comes a time when He starts calling His investments in. There comes a time when He starts gathering it all together, and starts requiring it. Why? Because IN HIS MIND HE SEES A HOUSE! And if we've got the same mind, we're ready to give what He invested. He's invested THE SON and He's brought forth interest in me. He's invested The Son - He didn't run out and hide Him in the dirt and just say Salvation is being saved from sin and that's it, holiness is my hairstyle - that's it. No sir, He invested something and He is beginning to come forth, the investment is coming forth. We're growing up in Christ! The measure, the measure. Don't we understand that He has put a treasure in earthen vessels, that He has put an inheritance in the saints? The Bible says, "... that you may know the exceeding riches of His inheritance in the saints." And that thing is supposed to immediately bring forth interest. Immediately it's supposed to come forth, immediately it's supposed to increase - bring increase of Christ, because of the time when He's going to demand it! To come together, and it's going to come together in INCREASE! And so we just bring it and give it back to Him. That's what this prayer is. It's a tremendous prayer, a tremendous realization, and David prays the prayer in the front of the people and brings the people into this same realization - that all we are doing is returning to you what you gave us! And if we've invested it and it's doubled, then we bring you back double what you gave us, because the increase is out of what you gave us. I hope we're growing up in Christ. I hope we have something to offer to Him other than just the understanding that we are no longer sinning. I hope we have something to add to this House. I hope we're adding to it a measure of Christ, not a measure of flesh. I hope we're building upon this foundation - precious stones of gold and silver - precious stones, not hay and stubble and worthless wood. Do you understand? I want you to see it here. It's for a type. YOU ARE REDEEMED FOR A PURPOSE! Christ is in you so He can increase, because the ultimate purpose is God gathering up for a House. I want to talk now about the Father's affection, the Son's affection and the Believer's affection. The Father's affection set toward His House. I want us to see that in the very beginning God saw such a House - He saw such a Son, such a realization. He saw One Son or One House full of many sons, or One House made up of many stones. He saw One Son made up of many sons, yet all of whom and each of whom are not other than that One Son! He saw many stones in One House, yet every stone and all of the stones are not other than that One House, that means none of them stands alone. His plan is not found in any of them - they are all found in the fulness of His plan! He saw a House - your Bible declares that to us. And immediately He set out to work to bring that thing forth. The Word came out from Him. You know Adam was made and man fell - that's man's natural contribution to the plan of God - he fell from it, he fell short of this House of Glory. Your Bible says we fell short of glory - we didn't get the glory and fall out of it - we fell short of it. Man never became this House. He never came into this realization. But God set man forth, He ordained man unto this glory, He ordained man unto His works, He did this - Hebrews 2 tells us that. But now we see not yet all things under him. We see him failing, we see him miserable and one of the writers says 'I don't know why you even fool with him!' The answer is JESUS! Out of this Covenant relationship, out of this beginning man fell, man failed - but there came forth THE WORD! "In the beginning was the Word..." That Word came right out from the beginning and became flesh. That Word took upon Him all that man was, and the cross became a visible part of God's plan. It had always been a part, but it became a visible part of God's plan. And that which fell was done away with. He became. You see, man became everything that God's House is not, man became everything that This One Son is not. When man fell he became a mixture of seeds - he became all that the flesh is. Man became nations, he became the colors, he became all of that - it all came out of one man, it all came out of Adam, it all came out of the fall! Man became the many, not the One, he became the many - a divided thing. So Christ became that, He took that upon Him and He put it to a death, and He came forth! He came forth in the power of the Resurrection, He was raised up and made to sit at the right hand of God in heavenly places - Ephesians 1 tells you that. Far above principalities and might, power, dominion, every name that is named, right? And it was given to Him to be Head over all things to the Church, which is His Body! Now here's one of the first tremendous revelations concerning the Church that Paul writes about, " It was given to Him to be Head over the Church..." What is the Church? The Church - talking about this House - the Church, which is His Body. The Church is described, which is HIS BODY. Now His Body is described - the fulness of Him who filleth all in all. Now He was raised up, He was made to be seated in heavenly places. Why? There has to be something here. Given to be Head over the Church. What Church? Which is His Body! What Body? The fulness of Him! Where is He? "For God hath raised us up together and made us to be seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Do you see that what God saw from the beginning He has performed in the Son - He has brought forth the material! He gave Him to be Head over the Church which is His Body, the fulness of Him. What Body? The Body that He is assembling in the heavenlies, the Body that He is assembling in heavenly places! Every time one is born again, what happens? He's raised up and seated in heavenly places! Every time one comes by way of the cross, by way of the blood he's raised up and he's seated in heavenly places. God is assembling the thing He saw from the beginning. Where is He assembling it? He is assembling the thing in the heavens, that it may be manifested in the earth - in Gaffney, in Dallas, in Timbuctoo. But what is it that is to be manifested in Gaffney? The Church in Gaffney? No sir, the Church in the heavens, the Church that we are! Yes, there are places where we lay down our lives, that's absolutely necessary because there's shepherds put over, but the shepherds are to serve the greater purpose. And our assembling is to manifest a greater than we ourselves are. So in Gaffney we manifest the Church in the heavens. In Dallas we manifest the Church in the heavens, because we see ourselves in a vision, we see ourselves in a reality. So therefore a Church in Timbuctoo or in Dallas or in Tulsa is in reality the same Church, it's in reality the same House! Under shepherds are appointed of God for the keeping of His House, but it's the same House, and it's never meant to be divided; it's never meant to be separate - never was that in God's mind. Because the House we are is One House, the Son we are is One Son. Because Paul said, here in Christ Jesus is neither male nor female, bond nor free, Jew nor Greek, black or white, circumcised or uncircumcised, Barbarian, Scynthian - but rather it is CHRIST ALL AND IN ALL! What I'm saying is everything God has done to get this little individual sinner - maybe He went to Africa to get him, maybe He went to China to get him, maybe some missionary had to literally lay down their life and die and get this one. Maybe some old mother prayed for 50 years or 70 years to get this one. All the working of the Spirit, all of the gifts of the Spirit in operation in that particular service on that particular Wednesday night in that particular city, because there was a preacher in that city that had been saved by someone who had come from around the world and reached him in a back alley doing drugs. Of all the multitudes of working, but it finally culminates down to this little sinner saved. And what happens to him? He is immediately added to the Eternal Plan of God! God's Eternal Purpose comes in. Why was he saved? Because God is building a House, not just saving sinners! Do you see what I'm telling you? It doesn't make any difference where on earth he is the manifestation of that House - he is still the same House, because he was not raised up and made to be seated in Dallas. He was raised up and made to be seated in heavenly places - he manifests that in Dallas! Yes, he is under a shepherd in Dallas, absolutely, because there's a caretaker of the House of God which we are. But it's the House we are that I'm talking about. And we shepherds need to understand that we're not taking care of houses, we're taking care of A HOUSE! Not houses - just a House. We're taking care of it in this location, that location - yes, that's something of God. And God puts ministries, and those ministries are under subjection, must be, should be, yes, all that. But it's still in the Father's heart for just One House - not houses. And no one part of it is any more important than the other part of it, because God has divided to every man severally as He will, offices, gifts, graces and building material. Because God sets every member as it pleases Him. I'm going to be just as faithful to my two as you are to your two thousand. Why? My God - because it's One House! You see, we've got to see it. Israel had to see what David saw and we've got to see what the Father saw. The Son came forth on behalf of what the Father saw, not what Adam did. Do you understand that the cross was not a 'patch up' job, was not a salvage operation? Do you understand that Jesus didn't salvage Adam - HE CRUCIFIED HIM! That the plan of God may be complete? Do you understand that the cross served the plan of God, not sin. The cross served the plan of God! Do we understand that He's a Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world! God's plan demanded it. So therefore there's got to be some greater work to the work of the cross than just knocking the edges off of this square peg here. There's got to be some reason why David said go out there with your hammer and chisel and chisel me out stones such and such a size, and gave them the pattern for it. And there had to be a reason this worker here is working - I've been there and I know some of you have been too. And I'm thinking, 'I don't understand why I've got to make it this size. Why does it have to look like this, this is an odd looking stone you've got me working on here, Father.' And all I'm seeing is the stones, but the Father is seeing a House! He says, 'Because I've got a place for that stone in My House. See, you're not big enough to work on the House, son, you just work on stone by stone. THE HOUSE BELONGS TO ME!' Do you understand what I'm telling you? So He's just got you out there and you're just working on that stone and you wonder why it's this shape. But when we see the House, we realize why it's the shape - it's for a House! And when it fits in, it loses its shape - and all you see is the House! That doesn't mean it doesn't have a shape - it does, but it loses it. It doesn't mean I don't have a gift - I do, but I lose it in the whole! It doesn't mean I don't have an office of Christ - I do. But it just kind of gets swallowed up in the whole, it adds to the whole, for the building up of the whole! It's in our carnal mind that we are houses, but in God's mind we are a House! Do you see that? Yes sir, you take care of the stone or stones, and you do it perfectly. Why? Because they are going to be placed in a perfect House. You don't slough off - I'm not suggesting that. I'm suggesting that the greater vision causes me to more perfectly do my work. I'm suggesting to you that here in this building now with this small number, I am suggesting that I am ministering unto the whole Body of Jesus Christ. I am suggesting that in that I have done it unto you, I have done it unto Him! And I'm suggesting to you that I will do it in the same fervency, in the same commitment as unto the whole. I'm suggesting that every shepherd will pastor that which God has given them to pastor as the whole House, with the same fervency and the same dedication, and if God adds to it - fine. What has He done? Added to that? No - He has added to the whole House! Get a hold of this. So we begin to see the vision of the Father, and begin to be laborers together with Him for an increase of the House - laborers together. There's got to come a time where I'm saying, yes, He had me over there in the rock quarry and I was chiseling out stones, and this brother says, He had me out here in these forests of Lebanon and I was cutting down cedars. And this other brother says, My God He had me in a little old ship and waves coming over and we almost had a shipwreck because I was bringing gold back from the coast of Africa. But there's got to come a time when we all cease to see those places and come together and see that we are laborers together, bringing all of that together for the increase of God, for the increase of the House! And that doesn't make null and void my cutting stones and your sawing lumber and you bringing back gold. It just gives purpose to it all! We release it to Him! What does God want with a bunch of rocks? We release it to Him and He mixes it with the timber, and the gold and the silver - and He builds Him a House! Don't you worry about it, every man receives his reward, God isn't going to short change anybody. We've got to get this vision, because in one sense we labor after an office, and gift and calling, and in another sense we are fellow laborers, and the higher calling is fellow laborers. The higher calling is finally the assembling - the coming together. That's done through The Son. David had men who assembled. Do see the Eternal Plan of God - what God viewed and then how He brought it about. But how is He going to gather up all this material? It's all there - being added to daily, it's being added there for a House. Our problem is most of those who are added have no idea why they are added. 'I was a sinner, now I'm a chiseled stone.' Why? 'Well, I don't know but I feel good.' There's got to be a gathering up. There's got to be a fitly joined together - groweth up into Him, a holy habitation of God through His faith. Paul talks of the building upon the foundation - the foundation is CHRIST! But Paul talks about a building upon that foundation, doesn't he? He speaks of a growing up, and a being fitly framed together - in whom we are fitly framed together; in whom we are gathered together; in whom we are GROWING - not grown, growing - groweth unto, a coming together. You see, though it is true that He dwells in every member in His fulness, it is equally true that no one member can manifest His fulness - that takes the whole. And the House is not just for Him to dwell in; the House is for His manifestation! The House is for His glory - to fill all the earth through that House! That's what David is doing. And I began to see this in the pattern after Israel. I began to see way back the type of the beginning - God spoke to a man called Abraham - Father of Faith. Here it is, type of the beginning. " In the beginning..." That's in your Bible. He called Abraham. Why was the demand so great? Because God's end view was a House. "Get out of your house, get out of your land, get away from your household, leave your kindred." Lord, what does that have to do with Salvation? Nothing - but it has everything to do with a House! I'm talking about Salvation after our idea of Salvation - it has everything to do with God's plan. "Get out of your kindred - I'm going to show you another seed. Get out of your father's house - I'm going to show you a greater house." What did Abraham do? He spent his time looking for a city! God showed Abraham something - He showed him, and this is the place in Moriah, which is Zion. Do you know the place that God said, " Go to the land of Moriah to a mountain that I will show you..." Do you know that Biblically, historically, that's the same mountain that Solomon built the House on? The very same mountain in Jerusalem, part of Zion. That's where Abraham went with Isaac, and he lost view of Isaac and God increased his view, and then brought the promise back to Abraham as he had never seen it before. For the first time He added all of the promises together. " Lift up your eyes." He showed him the sands, the stars, He showed him the whole thing. And Abraham saw by faith what was in the heart of God, and for the first time Isaac had a purpose. He saw it all in Isaac. " We brethren, as Isaac was, are." He saw it all in Isaac. And he saw it all in the top of the mount, and that's exactly where Solomon built the House, which House is a type of who you and I are. So God showed it to Abraham, and then He began to work; He began to work to bring it about. Look what He did - all the workings with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the twelve sons of Jacob, down into Egypt, into captivity - the hand of God. It looked like the devil jumped in. No, the devil didn't jump in - God's doing all this. He turned the heart of the Pharaoh, raised up Moses, had to teach him... What I'm saying is - look at what He's done, look at all the lives He's touched, look at all the men He used; all the significant and insignificant little things that happened all along the way - your Bible is full of them. To do what? To bring Israel to this time that we're talking about. He brought them out of Egypt, all of that; brought them across the wilderness; established the tabernacle; gave the Law; brought them on through Moses; raised up Joshua; brought them into Canaan - new relationship. He brought them to a point where He now gave them a King; they tired it first and it didn't work. On and on and on in the history - raised up a King. Now He begins to deal with a King. Three distinct anointings, we've spoken about them. First in the Father's House - the House that you are; then in Judah among his closest brethren and the mighty men gathered to him - King in Judah. Then, all of Israel - David - King of Kings who took all of Israel to Mt. Zion. Why? That a House may be built! David said it was in my heart to build a house. God said THE SON that is born will do it. Why did He bring all of Israel under David's rule? Why was David King in Israel? So that a Son may be born in Zion and sit on his Father's throne and unto that Son it was given to build a House. But the Father gathered all of it up. Do you understand that it is by the Spirit of the Father that we are baptized into Christ, that we are gathered up? But do you understand that it is through the Father revealing the Son that what is in Christ is gathered together in one mind, one Spirit, in one wisdom, in one understanding, in one revelation, as the Body of One, having the mind of One? IT IS THE SON HIMSELF WHO ACTUALLY BRINGS THE THING TOGETHER! The Father's affection for the House is proven in that everything that He's done, everything He's done in your life and in my life - everything He's done He has done for this House, with this House in mind, with this House in purpose! How many times did Israel lose that view and God had to bring in back, bring it back? Now He's bringing forth a Son who will in wisdom and understanding and knowledge assemble what the Father has gathered up. So now, the Son's affection. We have read that David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, the pattern of the temple, of its houses, its treasures, he gave the pattern to him. 1 Chron. 28:20, " He said to Solomon his son, be strong, be of good courage and do it. Fear not, be not dismayed. God will be with you, He will not fail thee nor forsake thee until thou hast finished all the work." Look at the dedication of the Son to the Father's House. What did Jesus say? "Why have you come Lord?" "I'm come to heal the sick." No, but He healed the sick. "I'm come to deliver the demonized." No, but He did that. But what are you come to do? "I am come to finish the work that My Father gave me to do. I'm come to finish the work." And on the cross He said, " IT IS FINISHED." And from that time on, a House is being assembled in the heavens! He bore the cross, He bore the shame, He despised it, but He bore it for the joy that was set before Him. I'm trying to show you something. I'm not trying to tear up anything. This pattern is clear - you see it. There was first a covenant between the Father and the Son. I told you that the heart of David had to get into the heart of the people, but we have seen the first heart it got into was Solomon's heart, then it got into the heart of the people. But the first thing he delivered this thing to was Solomon, the first one he brought into covenant with himself was Solomon, the first one he demanded and commanded was Solomon, the first one he showed the pattern to was Solomon. It's between the Father and the Son. And then you'll see in the last of Chapter 29 that he brought all of Israel under the rule of the Son, and David's sons and David's mighty men and their households, all of them honored Solomon. And then Solomon brought it together. From the Father to the Son to His Body! That's the order of the thing. And it's all right for you and I to think that He died just for me, He died just to save me. In a sense, at a time - fine. But sooner or later I come to a greater understanding. My God, He died for this House, He came for this House! He sent out and got this stone - yes He did, but for a greater purpose than the stone. It was for the whole House that He came. The Son is dedicated to the same House the Father desires and of nothing less. What I'm telling you is that after David gathered up all of the stones, and all of this wealth and treasure, had the son not put it together, it still would not have been a House unto the Glory of God. I'm not doubting you're stones, but are we in reality the House of His Glory? Have we in the knowledge, wisdom and understanding and revelation of the Son come together? Do we live in the earth as One House - in the wisdom, knowledge, understanding of Solomon? See Solomon had an understanding concerning that House - a wisdom, a knowledge - that's the mark of Solomon - wisdom, revelation. And it was by that Solomon built the House! How did he do it? Wisdom, knowledge, understanding - he directed Israel and it all came together. I'm telling you that the Father is revealing Christ, but Solomon is another view of Christ. And the Father is bringing forth a view of Christ now that's not just gathering up materials, it's putting those materials together. There's a wisdom, there's an understanding, there's a knowledge that centers in the revelation of Christ that is beginning to come into Mount Zion now, that's giving a purpose to all of the materials that have been gathered up. It's beginning to bring them together into the One House that we are. Where are we that One House? In the mind, heart and Eternal Plan of God and in Christ! Yes sir, but that which we are must be brought together that it may be a manifestation of Him. That's the work of the Spirit. How does the Spirit do it? He does it through revealing the Son! How did this House come together? Because the Father began to give honor to the Son. Read it - He started honoring the Son out in front of Israel, honoring the son. Finally the last verses in Chapter 29, " Solomon was received by all of Israel and he reigned in majesty such as no other king ever knew." There's an exaltation of the Son coming into our midst. There's a revealing of the Son coming - you mark my words. Not after the type of David - a greater view of Christ than we have yet seen, a greater wisdom, a greater understanding, a greater knowledge, a greater view of Him. And it is this view of Christ, this coming forth of Christ that is going to bring the materials together, that the Father by His Spirit, and through the administrations of His Spirit has chiseled out and hewn out - now a coming together. And who is going to take the credit for it? Nobody! You say, 'But I chiseled!' Yes. You say, 'I cut.' Yes. You say, "I hauled.' Yes, but God has given the increase, and He's doing it through the revealing of His Son, bringing into Mount Zion a Son of wisdom understanding and knowledge. No wonder Paul said, "... that God would give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him; the eyes of your understanding being enlightened..." If you'll read that chapter in Ephesians it ends with the Church, His Body, the fulness of Him who filleth all in all. That's the purpose of this. The Father's affection. The Son's affection is that He gave His life for it. "... a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death..." Why? "... make the captain of our salvation perfect through sufferings." Why? "That he may bring many sons unto glory." He saves sinners, yes, but why? That He may bring many sons unto glory. This is the House of God's Glory! This is the Glory that He's bringing them to. This is the fulness that He's bringing them to. The Son's affection - He laid down His life for the House. Solomon's affection - the Bible says he finished it to the laying of the foundation, to the finishing of it and to the perfecting of it. Let us read that - Solomon's affection to this House. Turn to 2 Chronicles 8:16, " Now all the work of Solomon was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of the Lord and until it was finished. So the house of the Lord was perfected." He came - it was all prepared. He was born of a virgin, born of a woman, born under the law - all of that. At the cross it was finished, in the House it is being perfected! Perfected - mature, brought to full age, brought together, gathered together! The full work of the Son, the finished work of the Son, the perfected work of the Son is the House of God's Glory - which House you are! And there's a work going on in the earth right now. I don't want to be found standing against the coming together of what inevitably will come together - God's House. The Believer's affection - I want to give you a pattern for study. See, the affection of the Father is that He invested everything He ever did. We come in and say, 'all things work together for good.' Everything is for this House. The Son's affection - He gave His life for it - in covenant with the Father to bring it forth. The thing comes on down - ultimately people just gave everything. Why? FOR THE HOUSE. 2 Corinthians 4:16, " For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan..." Go ahead and read it, it's about the House that we are! And it's walking in a knowledge - not sight, not sound, but understanding the House that we are. And it's not that we're groaning to be unclothed, but to be clothed upon with Christ! The believer falls in love with the House that we are and wants to see it come forth, to the laying down of everything we are and everything we have. My God - so that House would come forth. Now wouldn't it be silly if after I'd spent years in the rock quarry chiseling rocks, and another brother spent years in Lebanon hewing cedars... It took seven years to build this House. I don't know how many years it was in the gathering up, but the type of it is all of the rule of David. It took Solomon seven years just to bring the thing together, it was so spread out. Some of these materials were still right where they were cut, and they had to be put on boat and brought. But at the voice of the son there was an assembling of the House, at the decree of the son there was a coming together. THE GATHERING IS UNTO HIM! Wouldn't it be silly if after spending all those years in the rock quarry or the forest that I began to fight him and he began to fight me, and I didn't want the rocks and the timbers to come together? Wouldn't that be silly? If we who have watered and we who have sown, if we stop short of becoming fellow workers for the increase of the House. God give us His vision! Let that Son of pattern be revealed in us. The Father has revealed His heart to the Son, God grant that the heart of the Son be revealed in us that we may come forth in His fulness to the good pleasure of the Father. THIS IS THE HOUSE OF COVENANT, THIS IS THE HOUSE OF THE DIVINE UNDERSTANDING OF GOD, this is that House that is brought together in an understanding that is given of God - WE ARE ONE HOUSE! And there are caretakers of that House in every city and all over the world, but Oh, My God, let us understand we are the caretakers of the same House, and we are set for the increase of Christ in that House, that that House may increase throughout the earth and fill the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God. AMEN. Father, we thank you. It is my privilege to share with these that you have drawn by your Spirit. I am in their midst privileged to just share and return what you have given, privileged to share where you are revealing in your Son, that we may be sharers one with another, laborers together for the increase of this House thou hast determined from the beginning. Let us be perfectly joined together in the mind of the Son. Therefore will you reveal your Son in us. That is our prayer, that we who are in Him may be perfectly joined together in His mind, in His judgment, in the knowledge and revelation of Him; that we may grow up in Him, from one view to a greater to a greater view to a greater view - until He comes forth in us in His fulness. THE HOUSE OF GOD'S GLORY! We thank you for it.
