PART III
PATTERN OF CREATION - SUMMED UP IN A MAN
We rejoice to be gathered together for the purpose of learning Him. Amen. Our gathering together is in fact for the learning of Him. Whether that gathering is in the heavens or in the earth, it is for the purpose of learning Him.
Learning Christ
Man was placed in the garden in the first creation and chose to learn from the wrong tree. Mankind suffers from that even to this day. You and I are brought forth in Christ - a New Creation. I am telling you now that you are in Christ for the purpose of learning Him! That is why. I know there is a lot to being in Christ, but you are there for the purpose of learning Him, else why would the Holy Spirit who is sent to you of the Father be called the Spirit of TRUTH? Why would the Lord Jesus say, "I am the Truth." I tell you, you and I are gathered in Christ, in the heavens, for the purpose of learning Him. And if that is so, then each of our gatherings in the earth should also be for that purpose - learning Him. As we learn Him, then we become an expression of Him. Only then is there a true witness set forth in the earth. Then it is not just a bunch of religious people saying religious things, but believers who are by the Spirit of God learning Christ, bringing forth in the earth a genuine witness of HIM - of HIS nature, of HIS character, of HIS person. So when I tell you that we are gathered here for the purpose of learning Him, I am talking about a greater gathering than we constitute, though we constitute a legitimate witness of that greater gathering. And I tell you the very fullness of the gathering of Christ is for the purpose of learning Him.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Jn 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Let us set our hearts toward that end - the learning of Him. Because I have been around church people all of my life, I realize that there are a great many people who simply do not comprehend the learning of Christ, who come up with all these cliches and who come to church to get a blessing. Sweetheart, you HAVE all blessings in heavenly places in CHRIST JESUS NOW. You are in the earth to release those blessings, to release that fullness which you and I will never comprehend except in the learning of Him. But we say, "Well, we are going to get us a blessing." You see, I know all those cliches, and also I am beginning to know the truth. That truth is that until we come by the Spirit to learn Christ, we will release in the earth nothing of the fullness of Him even though that fullness already abounds in Christ and we are gathered up in Christ. But you see we are not gathered up "to get"; we are gathered up to learn what IN HIM WE HAVE GOTTEN! AMEN. This is for the purpose that we may be dispensers, administrators of that very fullness of Christ in the earth, the Holy Spirit reversing our whole mentality from one of self-centeredness to one of Christ-centeredness, finally beginning to satisfy our souls not just our flesh. So, our purpose again is learning Him.

The Creation and the Man
In the course of doing that, I want us to continue. Look in Genesis the first chapter. Then we will move on from there. We have been looking at the pattern that is established there in creation. And I want you to understand now the difference that we have seen in this first chapter. It has finally come down to just this - verse 25 and 26 Chapter 1, " And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. And God said, LET US MAKE MAN…" (emphasis added). Now, it is finally come then to discernment, and you and I must also come in Christ to this discernment by the Spirit between the creation and the man - between the creation and the man. I am not saying that God did not create the man. He did, but the man stands out distinct from all the rest of the creation. The man is distinct. It is in the creation that God has established his pattern - the seed, the kind, the increase of the kind, the harvest; everything bringing forth - nothing dormant, nothing dead, nothing stationary, everything bringing forth, but in an order; after its kind, according to the SEED that is in it. Now, that is the pattern.
Reference:
Gen 1:12
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Then, very distinctly He says, Now, "…let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." (Gen 1:26). He says something there. There is an evident distinction here between the creation and the man because He continues on to say something else about the man. The "man" here includes both male and female. God is looking ahead and seeing man as both male and female - one kind. What is man's kind? Woman is man's kind. It has nothing to do with races. All of this was established before there were any races. So, the kind of man is woman. And He called their name - Adam. Now, there is a tremendous pattern established here that the Spirit will enable us to see because it is made perfect in the New Creation. In the first, it is just a pattern, but you have to see the pattern. "…And let them have dominion…" (Gen 1:26). The reason for the distinctness here of the creation in man is that MAN is the centerpiece of the creation. In other words, everything that was created was created for him that he might exercise dominion over it. Now this is going to be extremely important in the New Creation. Many misguided doctrines have come about because this distinction has not been understood between man and creation - particularly when it is carried over into the New Creation. But I want to just establish that point. Creation has come to its summing. God has said that it is good; the pattern is established. Now, distinct from everything else, He makes man.

Col 1:16
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
A Man In God’s Exactness
In creation He has set forth, or declared, evidently set forth his pattern. But in man, as the centerpiece of the creation and distinct from all the rest of the creation, God sets forth or declares his full intention prophetically and typologically, to have a MAN - IN HIS EXACTNESS - to have a man in the exactness of himself and:
1) to give that man dominion over all of his creation and
2) that creation should bring forth the fullness or be filled with the fullness of that man
Now that is clearly established here. I am going to say that again. In creation He has set forth his pattern - the pattern - the seed, the kind, the harvest. In order to achieve that, to realize that, He brings man into the picture. In creation He has declared His pattern, but in man he declares a PURPOSE FOR THAT PATTERN. What good is the pattern unless finally there is a purpose to it? God is not after a harvest of elephants or apples. But the pattern is there. What is He finally after? What is all of this about? He brings it all to focus in man. He brings the purpose of creation to focus in man. This whole first creation is summed up in one man. It is called Adam - so much so that the whole creation here can be called Adam. The whole of creation can be referred to as the Adamic creation - Adam. Oh, that ought to thrill our hearts just leaping ahead in our own understanding with regard to this second creation that has an altogether other man, an altogether other head, an altogether other name. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
1Cor 15:22
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Cor 15:45-49
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
His Purpose In a Man
So God realizes His purpose in a man. He is not going to realize it in a peach tree. He is not going to realize it in any other part of His creation. He is going to realize His purpose in a man. In fact, every other part of creation is going to realize its purpose in that man too. Honey, you and I are a New Creation. As a New Creation, we will come to realize our purpose in a NEW MAN. HALLELUJAH TO GOD! And we will provide Him a creation wherein HIS dominion and HIS kingdom are to be fully exercised. Ambassadors of His shall we be. But it is HIS dominion, HIS kingdom. And not only that, not only does he give man full dominion (full dominion he gives this man), but in the second place, creation is for the purpose of exhibiting the fullness of that man - HARVEST. Harvest is that man coming forth and filling that creation with the fullness of Himself. Hallelujah! Now that is established right there.

Col 3:9-11, 15-17
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all…And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
So the distinction you see is important. It is important that we understand that we are a New Creation, but it is more important we understand WHOSE creation. Then we must understand what the purpose of it is all about - so that the Spirit of God may bring us as a New Creation to the fullness of purpose, which can only be realized IN CHRIST. HALLELUJAH!
Multiply and Be Fruitful
To bring forth after his own kind is the thing that the Father has prophesied here - that He will have a man in His exactness. That man will bring forth after his own kind, and there will be a full harvest, which is the fullness of that man. He has established that. So, God creates the first man here as a pattern; the term "image" and "likeness" is used and He creates this man for the purpose of increase. What does he tell them? TO MULTIPLY AND BE FRUITFUL - to bring forth after man's own kind. Man could not find his kind in creation. Indeed, as we have already said, all creation had to look to man for its name, its purpose, and its function. So God took out of the first man his own kind, his exactness, bone of his bone, flesh of his flesh - his exactness - woman. For what purpose? For the purpose ultimately now, of INCREASE. Now where is that realized in its perfection? It is realized here in Christ. It is not realized in man and woman having of lot of kids even though the type is there. The pattern is shown there. The whole point of it was for increase.

Gen 2:21-24
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Col 2:19
And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Now remember an increase, as the world has found out, is not just in number. It has to do with nature, character, quality and kind. It became number when man fell short of the glory of God. The only thing he could produce was more of himself. Then it just became numbers to the point that it has resulted in starvation all over the world. You see, that is man fallen, and the only thing of increase is just more of himself. The increase in Christ has nothing to do with numbers. It has to do with the MEASURE OF HIM. It has to do with the measure of Him, the quality of Him, and the fullness of Him. Again, that is not to say that man and woman should not have children. He did not say that. He did not say that the measure is in how many children they have, but rather in the quality, character, measure, and the reproduction of a kind.

Sin polluted that - the fall. But in the beginning is what I want you to see - not as it has become, but as it is - as it WAS and as it IS, in Christ Jesus. So, then the thing I want us to deal with in all of that, the pattern, bringing forth man, establishing man - in all of that, God still finds no increase of HIMSELF. This creation at its best speaks of One who is yet to come. One that is fully come in Christ Jesus – that is true. God finds no kind, but He prophesies one. He fully declares His intention in man. In fact, the type falls short. As you and I know, man (Adam) because of the wrong choice, because of setting his heart upon being like God rather than being an expression of God, because of setting his heart upon becoming another God, like God, rather than the expression of the one God, because of choosing that tree that is pleasing to the senses rather than that one that speaks of eternal life, because of being attracted in that way; man falls short of the glory of God. Man falls short, and in man a tragedy happens. God loses something. It is not taken away from God, but He loses it in this creation. This creation ceases to represent something. There are three things that God loses that we will discuss later: HIS VISION, HIS VOICE, and HIS GLORY. Man ceases to represent that. But He has already said and reassures again that "there is a man coming" in whom His vision and His voice and His glory are fully recovered and manifested. And that is where you and I begin to be dealt with in Christ Jesus.

And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
Lost In Adam
In Adam, it is lost. I want us to associate this whole picture with this word - L-O-S-T. It is just lost. If you wanted to, you could put on this picture (in Christ) - Found. I made a statement in several places. We have heard all our lives that we are going out into the world and save the lost. Most people and most Christians have no idea what was lost. Consequently, they do not know what to save. We get people saved; we get believers "born-again". That is all right, but that is not the end of it. That is not the end. Salvation on God's part was never lost; redemption on God's part was never lost. God really, as far as God was concerned, has never lost anything. Who can take anything from the Lord? But there was something lost of God in this man (Adam) - His Vision, His Voice, and His Glory. Sweetheart, we will see this in the scriptures more as we go along that from the beginning of beginnings, God has desired the increase of Himself. He simply shows that in a creation in type. God had one desire from the beginning - THE INCREASE OF HIMSELF. Many, not so much many just like him, but many as the increase of Him. He is not after many gods, but the increase of one God in many sons - not a bunch of gods. Man has come up with a bunch of gods because man fell from that perfect wisdom and plan of God. So man - it was never God's intention to create a bunch of gods but to have a creation that would give the one God full expression. And that is what this New Creation is. It is not a bunch of gods; it is a many-membered creation to give one God full expression through the person of His Son - Hallelujah! But I want you to see that is what was lost. His Vision was lost; His Voice was lost; His Glory was lost. What I am saying is that bringing babies into the world, spiritually or in any other way is not saving the lost because that is not what was lost in the first place. Do you comprehend what I am trying to tell you? We have made it so carnal and so simplified as to say that we are going to save the lost, labeling "men" the lost and "sinners" as the lost. Well, that is a RESULT of what was lost. But then we get sinners saved and get right back on our old numbers kick. And look where that has gotten us!

Look around at the church - still no vision, still no voice, still no glory. And yet we say that we have saved the lost. NO, we have not. Most of us have not yet figured out what was lost - what was lost in us, what was lost and what must be regained and recovered in Christ - and manifested. The lost involves a whole lot more than just people. It involves people. I would not tell you that it did not involve people. We are involved; a New Creation is involved, but what was lost was lost in one man - Adam, and it is only regained in the second man - Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Who said of himself, the Son of Man - "I came to save the lost. I came that nothing be lost." What is He talking about? He is not just talking about people. There are people all over the world that are not saved. He is not just talking about people. But He is talking about the vision of God, the voice, and the glory. He is talking about a creation through whom God will witness to all nations. Yes, but the thing is lost. You must understand what was lost. What did mankind lose?

Found In Christ
Man lost vision; man lost voice and glory at the same time that God lost IN MAN, vision, voice and glory. And it is found again in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is being revealed again in a people in whom Christ is being revealed. That which was lost in one creation is fully found, fully formed and fully manifested in a New Creation. That is going to effect mankind, dear hearts, much more than just our religion could ever do. That is going to effect the nations. Lost - something lost.
Seed to Come
But, God - But, God - God always intervenes, and in Genesis 3, we find that the creation is summed up in man, summed up in a seed, and points to another seed. In Genesis 3 with regard to man, God deals with a seed and the serpent. "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel" (Gen 3:15). God prophesies of a SEED THAT IS TO COME. And the whole pattern of creation makes sense. Hallelujah! It is a seed that Satan can not beguile, a seed over whom he has no power. You see we have to remember that this whole creation was not the issue anyway. The issue, even before there ever was a creation, was this business of the rebellion of Satan against God in the heavens. God said in my wisdom I will conquer him. And He brings forth a whole creation in pattern, in kind (knowing that it will fall short of the glory, knowing that Lucifer will corrupt it and establish in it), that He may deal with that creation and its corrupter once and for all in the person of His Son and bring forth an incorruptible creation. You see there is much more involved than meets the eye. God is using, as it were, this creation in the earth, to correct a rebellion in the heaven. Hallelujah to God! And through this seed, literally in the end of his working, bring forth a new heaven and a new earth wherein there is no corrupter. What a wonderful purpose; what a great plan. This is the wisdom of God - the wisdom that Paul talks about that had the principalities and powers and spiritual rulers and those on earth knew about it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory because that sealed the whole thing. They would never have done that!!

So the promise of God to this seed - the promise of God in the garden is to another seed, and from that time on, from Genesis 3, from that time on, God begins to work in this creation toward the New Creation. From that time on, God begins, He seeks to have a man, to have a people, to have a remnant; He seeks to deal with mankind in view of a New Creation or another seed. From that time on, God's whole feelings are toward this new seed. And we could go into courses and courses of Bible history, and we would see that very thing. For instance, the promise in the garden is concerning this seed; this promise is first revealed to man in the person of Abraham.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Abraham – Get Thee Out
Genesis chapter 12 - we do not go very far you see - until God begins to literally guide the course of history according to his intention. He does that - working all things according to his good pleasure. It is true. He begins to guide the course of history according to this promise concerning His seed. God will have a seed - a kind, and a harvest. He will have it. If you will look in your Bible you will see that is about the summation of everything that is ever promised and every type and every shadow - that is pretty well summed up in just that. Genesis 12:1, "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:". (He is separating Abram from the first creation because He is going to show him a New Creation). The whole pattern of God starts right here. The whole pattern of God concerning redemption starts right here. Redemption is not just getting out, but it is a coming to see, coming to know, coming to enter in, coming to be involved in something greater. "Get thee out of thy country, from thy kindred and from thy father's house." Now salvation - if redemption was just a getting out - would just end right there. But my word, friends, it is just almost a foregone conclusion today that in most of our churches, most of our religious viewpoints, salvation is just a correction of your past life. I can say that in fifteen different ways but that is what it amounts to. Salvation is viewed as just a correction of past life - what you used to do you no longer do - because you are saved. And I am telling you that there is more to it than that. But there are denominations that are based totally upon that, and their guidelines and their doctrines are totally upon that. And then you are given a list of things to do to be holy, to be righteous, and so forth and so on. Generally it has a whole lot of things that you should not do, must not do because that is the whole concept. It has never been God's concept. It has never been God's concept.

No, no - "from your father's house" (Gen 12:1). I am not going to take the time, because it in deed would take up every session we have, to just look at the pattern - country - kind - kindred - kind - and father's house. You would see though, that what God is really moving Abraham from is not a location, but a creation and everything this creation represents - a country, a kind, a household - the father's house. And if you would see, Christ represents the antithesis of that but also the perfection of it. He represents a whole other country wherein you are no longer pilgrims and sojourners, but fellow citizens, a whole other kind - after the kind of God because it is after the seed of God, the Father. And we are brought into the Father's house and into a relationship with the Father. You see you cannot, in true understanding of salvation of life, be a participator in two creations at the same time. No man can have two countries and two kinds and two fathers at the same time. And yet herein is the dilemma of most Christians. We try to have that. We want to read the scriptures that say we are IN CHRIST, but we want to live like we are in Adam. Furthermore, we want to live like we are Adamites. You can not have it both ways. Let me say it this way, "You can not identify with being black, white, yellow and identify with being in Christ, too." You can not have it both ways. Salvation is not a saved white man. No, it is a New Creation; it is a New Man. Well, our bodies remain old, but we know that these are not the bodies that shall manifest His fullness and His glory. So, I would not put too much stock in them if I were you, other than just trying to keep them together for purpose of service. But I really would not put too much stock in them as far as your identity is concerned. Well, if you do, you just live like man - Adam - and the rest of the world. Now friends I know, I know more that most people think I know, and I am talking about heart understanding, I know the struggles all over the face of this earth as a result of that fallen one. I know that. But I am telling you, as noble as it may seem, to correct those things is not the same as coming into a New Creation. You and I are never going to get the old creation fixed - not by trying to fix it as part of it. Do you understand? We always want to get into these self-betterment programs. Now, I have no problem with people being more educated or having a better job, etc. You see, that is not the real root. The real root is Adam trying to make himself better. That is the real root of it. We may say it is education, and it is money, but I am telling you that the richest person on earth is still right in there trying to make himself better than he is. It has nothing to do with money. That is the root of it. We might as well understand it because until we do, we are going to be relating to the wrong creation, and we are not going to become what God purposed us to be.

Earthly Church
Over a period of time, in fact hardly before the church had gone 100 years, natural wisdom came in, natural wisdom and so the church adopted, just like the Jebusites, the type, got into Mt. Zion and changed the name of it to Jebus - and David had to replace them when he ascended and set his throne there. Well it is the same. Jebusites begin to abound. The church began to be an earthly organization instead of a heavenly vision manifested in the earth. It began to be government controlled rather than Spirit led. This came in about the second century, and it has just come right on. It has come through some reformations and this and that, but what I am trying to tell you is that it finally just adopted a doctrine that said, "Well, all of this will be so just over in glory land." All of a sudden, the whole doctrine of salvation was getting you ready to die so you could be a New Creation rather than telling you that by the Cross of Christ, you have already died, and through Him you have come forth alive and are now a New Creation. Hallelujah to God! It is not somebody waiting to be one - or waiting to go to one - Oh, Blessed be the Lamb of the Living God!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

It is no wonder the church has gotten involved in so many extracurricular activities. You have to do something to keep people busy when you have them waiting to go somewhere or they will get tired. If you replace the truth, you had better have a whole bunch of things to keep people busy - a bunch of involvements. Well, like this child - you either educate the child or you had better get out your toys and keep him busy because you have a job on your hands - if they never grow up. You are going to have to entertain them for the rest of their existence in one way or another. And they get tired of things so easily. That is the picture of it. It is not because there is no New Creation. It is because we who are the New Creation are ignorant of it. "The gospel" and "salvation" have been so diluted down to a handful of recipes, doctrines and traditions and do's and don'ts that the very life and reality of Christ has just gone right out of it. Oh, we still stick His name on it, but the reality of it is not in it. I have been Pentecostal all of my life, and I am talking about that group. Thank God for hearts who are hungry by the Spirit to know Him.

Recovery In New Creation
May God begin to recover in a people that which was lost in Adam. He first must have a creation, and YOU ARE that creation in Christ Jesus. I have much more to say about that. But YOU ARE that creation in Christ Jesus. He must have a creation first; the pattern showed that. Then in that creation, right in the midst of it, right out of the midst of it, He begins to bring forth His man - His man - whose Body we are - His Man - whose creation we are - CHRIST IN YOU, THE EXPECTATION OF GLORY. The whole expectation of this creation is the indwelling Christ. This creation waits for His fullness. Hallelujah to God! Now that fullness will be demonstrated in the world, to the world, to the nations. That fullness will be experienced in the New Creation that is created of God just for that. YOU are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for that good thing that God before ordained and purposed in Himself. Hallelujah!

Yes, the old creation has come to an end of itself. This New Creation shall manifest the answer. That is right. Nations shall walk in the light of this city, of this creation, of this house. The Bible declares that in the Old Testament, the New Testament, throughout the whole thing; the Word of God declares that. Do you not know that that light is in you? Most do not, and they have substituted that for some kind of doctrine about salvation - a doctrine about heaven, a doctrine about glory. My Lord, folks, how empty most believers are; how despaired most believers are, saying, "My God, surely there is something more than this. I mean I have gotten out of sin." Now, for awhile, that is a source of joy. But after awhile, now, "surely there is something more than just not sinning, going to church every Sunday, being preached to about not sinning and promised that one day if we are good enough we might die and go to heaven." And then, we will all be - the things that WE ALREADY ARE - a life that we should already be living - and manifesting. My God, it is a sorry case when we expect the world to look to us, and we are looking to something so far off that it can not be seen.

Throughout the whole world, not just in the states, but around and throughout, there is a great push. We want to elect Christians. We want to get all these government people elected, and put Christians in all those places. And I thought, My God, I do not know whether I want an ignorant Christian there or not. I mean, I would just as soon let Caesar have Caesar's. I do not know, but I am telling you the truth folks. It is frightening to me. I sure do not want some of the Christians that I know to have any legal power. With them running around killing and hating each other, then give them some legal power - I do not know about that. No, I think God has his own government. I do not believe I have to take one over. I think He is going to bring that government forth in this New Creation, and that government is going to be manifested in nature, in kind, in character, in the midst of a perverse world, and that light will finally shine in which the nations can walk. Hallelujah to God!

Get Out…Unto a Land I Will Show You
The promise was first revealed to Abraham. "…Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee" (Gen 12:1). Now this word "land" can be deceiving unless you have a comprehension of what it is all about. This world "land" is the summation of everything that God has just told Abram to leave - country, kindred and father's house are all summed up in this word, "land". He is not just talking about property, and even in the Hebrew definition or connotation of the word, everything that Abram left is summed up in this word. It is not just a piece of real estate, as you will see. It goes on to be called "Holy Land". That is not talking about Palestine. "Land of Promise" - remember the promise is to the seed, which seed you are. He did not promise you an address in Palestine; He promised you a place in the Father's house! My God, do get a hold of this. The word "land" is not a piece of real estate though it was typed and shadowed in a place on earth. But the promise was never relegated to that - you read it - any time he talked to Abraham about it he said "Lift up thine eyes" from the place wherein thou standest. And that term used about a great number of times, that term "Lift up thine eyes" means ELEVATE YOUR SOUL INTO A HIGHER SPIRITUAL REALM. Honey, you have to look into the Spirit to see this land.

Revealing the Land
"It's a land I'll show you" - and coupled with that word "land" is the word "I will show" - the word "show" is a Hebrew word spelled in the English ra-ah – used here it is A THING REVEALED OF GOD. Consequently this land can only be seen when God shows it. I am going to show you something Abraham, that eye can not see and ear can not hear, and the natural mind of man can not conceive but I WILL show you the land of your possession. Now here is the real good thing about this. Abraham, in his heart (because all of this has to be in the heart first), goes out from, he leaves this creation. You and I are going to be confronted with this same revelation of Jesus Christ, and the very first thing that it is going to demand of you and me is that we leave in our hearts, the first creation. GOD IS ABOUT TO REVEAL THE SON. We used to have a tape album "The Three Altars, The Altars of His Appearing" - this is what it is all about. Abraham - going from one altar to another, to another, until finally there is nothing left, and Abraham is standing at the top of Mt. Zion. It was Mt. Zion, the same mountain historically, on which Solomon built the temple. This is the mountain where Abraham stood when he offered up Isaac. When he stood there what did he say about that mountain? He said "In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen" (Gen 22:14). Did he not? What is going to be seen? What God told him He would show him in the beginning. The Lord never told him He would show him anything but a land. And it took all that time for him to fully comprehend that the land is a New Creation - in the heavens - IN CHRIST JESUS (Jn 8:56-58) - and he said, "In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen." Who is revealed (seen) in the mount of the Lord (you are that mount in Christ) but the Lord Himself? Our whole journey, our whole walk in the Spirit is unto "The Appearing of the Lord", Christ revealed in you, that we may possess and be possessed by the Fullness of Him.

Ye Are Come
No wonder the Hebrew writer says, "Ye are come to Mt. Zion" (Heb 12:22). Honey, in the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. That is where He reveales His Son, His Kingdom, His Man. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! Right here in this first instance, Abraham left and comes to a place. He comes to Canaan. It is a place of patterns. Anyway he gets there in verse 7 and something happens. THE LORD APPEARS.

The Lord Showed Himself
Now we have spoken of the necessity of God revealing His Son - laying the foundation. The foundation is laid in Abraham right here. The Lord appeared unto Abraham. Do you know what the word "appeared" is? The word "appeared" is "ra-ah" - the very same word in the Hebrew - show and ra-ah. So what happens here? This is glorious because it took God dealing with Abraham in order for Abraham to come to a true understanding of what God shows him right here. God tells Abraham essentially, "You are going to get out of here and go to a land that I will show you." Then in verse seven, He shows HIMSELF to Abraham. That is what salvation is all about. It is God dealing with you saying basically, "I am going to show you where you are. I am going to show you the land. I am going to show you salvation. And the Lord shows HIMSELF. God reveals His Son, and you exclaim, "My Word, I LIVE IN HIM AND HE LIVES IN ME. HE IS MY LIFE." This is the land of the promise. Those who dwell in Christ Jesus shall manifest that in the earth, "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven" (Mtt 6:10). Hallelujah to God!

Great Salvation
We are involved in a great salvation here. We are involved in a great creation here, the purpose of which is to bring forth the fullness of the Lord Jesus. The promise concerning this seed was first revealed to Abram and then it goes on. We shall go on too and allow the Lord to just lead us, line upon line, precept upon precept. Hallelujah to God! We are involved in a great creation and a great purpose. God has a great purpose IN YOU. He has a great purpose, a great glory invested in you. Paul says, "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us" (Rom 8:18). CHRIST IN YOU. CHRIST IN YOU. The Spirit of God yet covers the face of the deep, brooding to bring forth the promised man in the midst of God's creation to be a light truly to all nations. It is not just a bunch of religious puppeteers quoting traditions and doctrines that they do not understand, but it is a people coming forth in the knowledge of the Lord. More than that, it is the Lord coming forth in nature and in character in a people - IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH.

LORD, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR GRACE, THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE ARE GATHERED NOT ONLY THESE DAYS AND HOURS, THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE ARE GATHERED DAY BY DAY, WEEK BY WEEK, MONTH BY MONTH, YEAR BY YEAR - SO SHALL THEY WHO ARE GATHERED UNTO THEE GROW IN THIS PLACE. BUT NOT ONLY THAT, WE THANK YOU FOR THE PURPOSE WHEREBY WE ARE GATHERED IN THE HEAVENS AS THE BODY OF CHRIST. OH, FATHER, DO REVEAL YOUR SON IN THE MIDST OF EVERY MEMBER OF THAT BODY - EVERY PART OF THAT CREATION - THAT THE SON MAY COME FORTH IN FULLNESS TO THE GLORY OF GOD. OUR FATHER, LET US PARTICIPATE IN THAT BY YOUR SPIRIT, MY FATHER AND NOT MISS IT, BUT BE PARTICIPATORS OF IT - IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH - AROUND THE WORLD. AND WE THANK YOU FOR IT, IN JESUS' PRECIOUS NAME. AMEN. MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU.
