PART II
PURPOSE OF CREATION - PATTERN ESTABLISHED
We rejoice in gathering together. We rejoice in any gathering whose purpose is in the learning of Christ. And the purpose of our gathering together is in fact for the learning of Christ. That indeed should speak of not only now but each gathering and not only our gatherings in specific places. Our being gathered in Christ is also for the purpose of LEARNING CHRIST. I trust that you and I will come to comprehend something with regard to God's purpose and with regard to our not only being in Christ but with regard to the PURPOSE for which we are in Christ. I trust that you and I will come to comprehend something with regard to the New Creation that we are in Christ Jesus - not just that we are a New Creation but something of the PURPOSE of that New Creation. I could sum that up in one word. It needs to be summed up in one word. The purpose of that New Creation is CHRIST.
Pattern and Fulfillment
And then in order to bring that into a clearer focus you have to add some other terms. One would be INCREASE - the purpose of that New Creation is for the increase of Christ. Another term would be FORM - the purpose of that creation is that Christ may be formed in it. But even that is for the increase of Him. For our points of reference, we are going to be dealing with the OLD CREATION and what I am going to diagram as the NEW CREATION. And we will be dealing with the cross. We are going to be seeing THE PATTERN over here in the old. We are going to see THE FULFILLMENT of the pattern here in the new.

Seed Unto Harvest
The whole purpose for creation, whether the old one or the new, is found in the SEED, AND IT ENDS IN HARVEST. From seed to harvest, the purpose of creation is fulfilled. Read the first three chapters of Genesis. I want to show you more clearly than I personally have ever seen God's plan before. None of it is fulfilled in the old - the old falls short. But the pattern of it is set there. Just like the first tabernacle - nothing is fulfilled there, but the pattern is established. It came right down out of the mountain, "See that you build it according to the pattern." Why? Because it speaks of One who is yet to come. God did everything in the old creation according to a pattern. Why? Because it was all a prophesy, a prophetic utterance of that which was to come and is now come IN CHRIST JESUS! I hope we will see the pattern in the old, but we will find ourselves only in the new. I am depending upon the Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us and direct us in this.

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.
Col 2:16-17 (TLB)
So don't let anyone criticize you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating Jewish holidays and feasts or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. For these were only temporary rules that ended when Christ came. They were only shadows of the real thing-- of Christ himself.
The First Creation
And in order to do that, I want you to turn with me to the first chapter of Genesis. Now, everything of the first creation that's the six day creation - the creation that you and I are in the flesh, the creation that makes us male or female, bond or free, Jew or Gentile and all the many races among the Gentiles, the thing that makes us that - the first creation - the old creation - and we will give it more definition as we go along; that six day creation, as far as the scripture is concerned, does one thing and one thing only. It establishes a pattern for the second creation - the New Creation in Christ Jesus.
God’s Order
God is a God of order, and He never departs from that order. If you ever find it, if you ever get your hand on it, you will find that He never departs from it. Now you and I may depart from it, creation may fall away from it, but the order of God remains the same. That is a scriptural law. It is a spiritual law that if you will get into your heart it will help you in searching the scripture. It will help you in understanding the dealings of the Lord. God does not deal this way one time and a different way another time. No - the dealings of the Lord are the same. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Now that does not mean He is always going to do the same thing, but it is always the same One doing it and the order is always, the spiritual order of it is always the same. And it is that order that we are going to be looking at. The scriptures themselves declare that everything of the first, everything of the first creation, everything of the first man, everything of the first tabernacle, everything of the first priesthood, all of that was established for an EXAMPLE, and for an admonition, that it may collectively BRING US TO CHRIST.

Heb 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
1Cor 10:6
Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Law Could Not Make Perfect
You have read that in the third chapter of Galatians with regard to the law. Well now, finally God summed up everything of the first creation, everything that is labeled flesh, and relegated it under the LAW. Even those, to whom the law was not given, were by virtue of sin relegated under the law. Therefore all of mankind was brought under the law. And what God said in the law He said to one and all. Now your Bible establishes that. How is that important? It is important because Paul gets a hold of that and says - everything then that related to the law - COULD NOT MAKE PERFECT. See, it could point to a perfection, but it could not produce it. It could point to a righteousness, but it could not produce it. It could point to a holiness, but could not produce it. Everything that is relegated to the law is said of in that way - that it could not make man perfect. That implies that this creation (first, old) was not perfect and, in and of itself, could never and can never be perfect. This is because this creation was given the law of God written on a stone. I know God used Israel, but it was given to this creation. It was given to the natural man - a law written on a stone that could tell this creation about a perfection but could not bring it to it. It could tell this creation about a righteousness but could not bring it to it. And it tells me something about this whole creation - that it is just a pattern; it is just a type. It can never achieve even what the law demanded. Paul says that if it could there would be no need for a better law. If it could, there would not be need for a better sacrifice. If it could have, then a greater one would not need come. We are taught that in the scriptures. In the Book of Hebrews, we are taught that.

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:21-25
Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Heb 7:19
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
Heb 9:23-24
It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Heb 8:7-13
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Heb 10:4-12
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
But I want you to get a hold of something that is going to be essential to comprehending the fullness. You first have to comprehend or at least come to an agreement in your heart that the first one can not please God. The first one could not come to perfection. Not even the law of God could bring it to perfection. Not even that written on stone which proclaimed perfection but could not bring those to whom it was given unto perfection, or unto the fullness of salvation or unto full righteousness - could do it. It could not do it. A lesser word was given to a lesser creation. A word written on stone was given to a natural created man. But there is a pattern established in this creation that is perfected in the New Creation. And there is a promise established in the first creation that is fulfilled to its absoluteness in the second creation. There is a righteousness that condemned the first creation but is fulfilled in the second, the New Creation, wherein those who are in Christ Jesus are not brought to condemnation. Hallelujah! But the pattern is established here - even the word that is the law that was given to the first creation speaks of a more perfect word. And that word also is fulfilled in this New Creation. So everything that is promised, established, patterned, dealt with in the first creation, that fell short of the glory of God is brought to fulfillment in the New Creation. How so? Well, that is what we want to look at.

Rom 8:1-4
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Harvest
Now I want to look at one of those principles. It is the very foundational principle that is established in the first creation and perfected in the second. The first creation, or let me just say creation, as far as its purpose is concerned can be summed up in one term - and that term is HARVEST. The word harvest is the same as the word INCREASE. The first creation was for a harvest. In order for there to be a harvest, there has to be a SEED. It is essential. Without a seed there can not be a harvest. It is impossible. This is a principle that is established of God in the very first creation. These principles are fulfilled and perfected in Christ, in the second creation. We will see how, but I want you to see the pattern. So look at the first chapter in Genesis. Nothing is done without purpose. Nothing is done except it is with a preplanned, preordained purpose in the mind and heart of God. Sweetheart, if you are finding yourself in Christ, if you are born again and a part of this New Creation, you have a tremendous purpose that goes beyond just being created of God in Christ Jesus. God has brought forth a creation, and we will look at this more closely. Through the death, burial and resurrection of His Son, God has brought forth a New Creation, and it is glorious to comprehend. But the thing that is yet more glorious is for that creation to comprehend its purpose in Christ. It is a disturbing and incredible thing to me, that I find throughout the Church around the world as the Lord enables us to be found there, how few believers comprehend the purpose of salvation.
God’s Purpose
Well they say that salvation is to get out of hell and into heaven. That is not the purpose at all. My God, all you have to do is go back and look at the pattern. Just look at the pattern. Was God's purpose with Israel (that is the pattern of life here in Christ) to get them out of Egypt? Is that what the purpose of God was? Well you see there were many gotten out, refusing to go in. However, they all died in the wilderness. Now, had God's purpose just been to get them out of Egypt, then why did they wander around for 40 years until they all died who refused to enter in? And if just entering into Canaan was just the end, then why did God institute three different administrations - the administrations of judges, the administrations of prophetic priests and the administrations of a three-fold kingship - all of which is fulfilled in the Lord Jesus Christ? But why did God institute all of that? IT WAS TO BRING THEM TO THE VERY TOP OF MOUNT ZION, where there he built HIS HOUSE, which is a type, that it may be finally FILLED WITH THE GLORY OF GOD. There is much more to this thing than just getting out of Egypt. There is much more to this thing than just not dying in the wilderness. There is much more to this thing than just our concept of heaven. Honey, God is after an INCREASE. I am telling you. I will go to the wall with you on this one thing. I will go to the wall with any living, breathing human being on this issue. THE ISSUE OF CREATION IS INCREASE.

Eph 4:13
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
God hates that which does not bring forth increase. I was just looking at some parables in the Gospels, those things that relate to the coming of the Son of Man and the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven. If you will look at those parables, ever so many of them relate to an increase or the failure to have increase - either increase in talent, increase in light, increase in this, increase in that. It is always an increase that He is after. It is never just a blade; it is never just a stalk; it is full corn in the ear. It is always increase. Look at it and search it out for yourself. And the word that is applicable to all of that is HARVEST. What did God do with Israel? (Again Israel is a type.) Finally you see God sums this whole creation up and brings it to focus in one little people called Israel. And He deals with Israel on behalf of that whole Adamic creation. You have to see that because in his dealing with Israel he sums them up and deals with them in the Levitical priesthood. And He sums that Levitical priesthood finally up in a High Priest who He finally brings then to the inner sanctum. Do you see God dealing with a whole, bringing it down in this type and then that type, and then in this type and finally dealing with it. Well sweetheart, He established that as a pattern. You and I are dealt with the same way in Christ. Hallelujah to God! Finally dealt with as a people, then as a nation, then as a house, a tabernacle, a temple, and finally in a priest, and all of that in the Lord Jesus. We will leave that alone for the time being. But the pattern of that is established here.

Mrk 4:26-32
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come. And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? [It is] like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
Lk 13:6
He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
Pattern Established In Israel
In dealing with the old creation, what was God’s primary dealing with Israel? How did God deal spiritually with Israel? What was the pattern of spiritual life that God established with Israel? It was in fact SEVEN FEASTS. All of these feasts had something to do in one way or another with A HARVEST finally leading to a full harvest of Weeks and a full harvest of Sabbaths even dealing with that in weeks and in years culminating in a Fiftieth year called the Jubilee. Hallelujah to God! It is the year of divine increase, restoration, reconciliation and fullness. Now that was a type, but all of that is fulfilled here in the Lord Jesus Christ for those believers who will simply BY FAITH walk therein. That too is established in type. Canaan relates to this New Creation. Canaan was a natural country, but the writer of the Hebrews says something about why they did not enter into Canaan. It was not because the river was too wide. It was because of UNBELIEF - having the promises but not mixing them with FAITH. Sweetheart, you and I have all the promises of God. But until, by the very knowledge of the Son of God Himself and the very comprehending of the Spirit of God, we are able to walk in that understanding, we are not a whole lot better than Israel wandering around out there in the wilderness. That is true, and that is one of the themes of the book of Hebrews. "See that you and I do not ignore Him who speaks from heaven as did they who spake from earth and received the just recompense...". You know the scriptures. So the point is that the pattern is here, and God deals according to His pattern. He established the order. He is going to deal with us the same way here in Christ. Yet here in Christ there is a fulfillment. In the old creation is a type without a fulfillment in itself because the fulfillment is found here in Christ Jesus. Here is the pattern in the old creation coming out of the mountain of God. See that you build it according to the pattern. Here in Christ is what the Spirit is building. He is building A HABITATION OF GOD THROUGH THE SPIRIT. Hallelujah! And He is using you who are in Christ to do that. Yes, but it is according to the pattern. It is according to the pattern.

Fausset – Fausset’s Bible Dictionary: "FEASTS"
…The septenary number prevails in the great feasts. Pentecost was seven weeks (sevens) after Passover; passover and the feast of tabernacles lasted seven days each; the days of holy convocation were seven in the year, two at Passover, one at pentecost, one at the feast of trumpets, one on the day of atonement (the first day or new moon of the seventh month), and two at the feast of tabernacles. The last two solemn days were in the seventh month, and the cycle of feasts is seven months, from Nisan to Tisri. There was also the sabbatical year, and the year of jubilee. The continued observance of the three feasts commemorative of the great facts of Israelite history make it incredible that the belief of those facts could have been introduced at any period subsequent to the supposed time of their occurrence if they never took place. The day, the month, and every incident of Israel’s deliverance out of Egypt are embalmed in the anniversary passover.
…The three great feasts had a threefold bearing. I They marked the three points of time as to the fruits of the earth. II They marked three epochs in Israel’s past history. III They pointed prophetically to three grand antitypical events of the gospel kingdom. I (1) At the Passover in spring, in the month Abib, the first green ears of barley were cut, and were a favorite food, prepared as parched grain, but first of all a handful of green ears was presented to the Lord. (2) Fifty days (as Pentecost means) after Passover came the feast of weeks, i.e. a week of weeks after Passover. The now ripe wheat, before being cut, was sanctified by its firstfruits, namely two loaves of fine flour, being offered to Jehovah. (3) At the feast of tabernacles, in the end of the common year and the seventh month of the religious year, there was a feast of ingathering when all the fruits of the field had been gathered in. There was no offering of consecration, for the offerings for sanctifying the whole had been presented long before. It was not a consecration of what was begun, but a joyful thanksgiving for what was completed. See for the spiritual lesson #Pr 3:9 Ps 118:15.
Heb 3:17-4:3
But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it]. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Ex 25:40
And look that thou make [them] after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
Ex 26:30
And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount.
Eph 2:20-22
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Seed Produces After its Kind
Now look at Genesis 1:11, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so." The word "kind" is important. "...after his kind whose SEED IS IN ITSELF, upon the earth, and it was so" (emphasis added) - it was so. "And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed, after his kind…" (Gen 1:12). We need to see the pattern here. Every seed produces its own kind. No matter how man may interfere with this thing genetically, the principle of God is still established and left in its original form. Without perversion, every seed produces after its own kind. That is to say it is impossible, in its original form without alteration of sin, to plant a watermelon seed and get a mango because every seed produces after its own kind.
No Mixture
Now, regardless of how the degeneration of man from the pattern has sought to mix that, the principle remains the same and it is fulfilled in perfection in the fullness. EVERY SEED PRODUCES AFTER ITS OWN KIND. That is going to be an important realization to you in a while. Every seed produces after its own kind. And it was important to God. You know how he dealt with Israel, even when that was perverted. He wanted to show something to Israel so he brought Israel forth as a people, as a kind, as a race, and He FORBID any mixing. Why? He is seeking to show something here in type, in pattern, with regard to His seed. And so, I mean, Israel couldn't even mix wool and linen on the same garment, let alone having to do with races, or this or that. Now you and I know that has nothing to do with the righteousness which the Lord is, but it was a pattern of it. You and I know that there is no problem with our wearing linen and wool in our clothes, but it spoke of a truth that cannot be violated in the Lord Jesus Christ. All of these things are for patterns. We know that in the fullness there is no such thing as a peach tree, but there is such a thing as trees of righteousness. This was for a pattern. Do you see that?

For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
After Their Kind
Whether herbs or cattle, it is the same. Look at verse 21, "And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their KIND. And every winged fowl, after his kind, and God saw it was good" (Gen 1:21, emphasis added). Now you see it is the pattern that is good here. The emphasis "God saw it was good" focuses upon one word - KIND. God saw that everything according to its own kind is good. He is establishing a principle here so that you do not sow one thing and get something else. I am telling you something. IN CHRIST that is just the way it is. You are not going to sow one thing and get something else. You will get exactly what you sow. You may sow one thing and CALL IT something else, but that is not what you are going to get. And in the real coming of the Son of Man in his creation, that division will be clearly determined. You can run around and call it wheat if you want to, but if it is not wheat, it will be burned up. There is a principle here. There is much more to be said, but there's a principle here and I want us to see how strongly the Lord feels about this. Verse 24 – 25, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good."

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Again I want to emphasize that it is not that God is here seeing good in cattle or good in creeping things. No, it is the kind. That is a pattern also. We are always trying to figure out what God calls good. What God calls good is finally brought into clear focus in the New Creation, but the pattern for it is established in the old. God calls this principle that if you plant a seed you are going to get a harvest of what you have planted. God calls that good. Hallelujah!
Now there is only one thing that is not found in this old creation after its kind. In this creation God has nothing after his own kind. Well you say, "He had man", but man was not after his kind. "And God said, Let us make man in our IMAGE, after our likeness: and let them have dominion…" (Gen 1:26, emphasis added). Now, whether you have one or not it is very simple to do. In a good Strong's Concordance, you can look up this term IMAGE. The terms "image" and "likeness" have nothing to do with exactness – NOTHING. Yet in every other case we are talking about exactness. God's law is for exactness. He says that if I plant this tree I want one exactly like it. This seed will bring forth in its exactness. It will not bring forth something similar; it will bring forth its exactness. Are you not glad for that? I mean, we go a lot of places around the world and particularly the United States, and people raise stuff. If you were a farmer, you would really appreciate this principle that you are going to go out there and sow wheat and indeed wheat in exactness, not something close, but exactly is what you are going to get. You would learn to appreciate that, but that is something God is after. What I am telling you is that it is a pattern. Now the pattern here is established, and it is never going to be broken. I took maybe too much time to tell you that nothing was perfect here (in the old creation). It finally was all summed up under the law and said it cannot be perfect. Nothing is perfect here (old creation), but the pattern is established. We will only find the perfection of that which is patterned, FULFILLED IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, but the pattern is never changed. God is establishing a pattern here. But when it comes to man, the word KIND relating to God, with that man, is not used. "In our image and after our likeness" - those two Hebrew words mean just this - a shadow, a form, a type, having no substance in itself. God said - we will make man as a type, we will make man as a pattern of that which is to come. I am telling you, that from the beginning, God's desire and God's realization was and is to have everything in Christ Jesus - everything.

First Man a Shadow
I am telling you that from the beginning, God saw this creation (New Creation - in Christ). The scriptures are full of this if you will look at it. But I am telling you even now that it is so. And He set it all forth in type, in a shadow of that to which He would bring man. But man was NOT that from the beginning. He was intended, purposed, all of that, but he was not that from the beginning. He was a shadow, a type, having no substance. You can take all the liberty you want in just looking at that yourself. My point is God established a pattern here of KIND, but here God found no kind. God established a principle here of HARVEST, but God finds no harvest here. God establishes a principle of SEED but God's own Seed is not found there, because where there is seed there is kind, and where there is kind there is harvest. And God finds no seed, or kind, or harvest here (the old creation).

Now listen, there are powerful implications to this friends, and one of them is God is not interested in getting a whole bunch of people saved. Now just a minute, don't get angry with me. His interest goes beyond a great number of people; His interest goes to getting something in those people OF HIMSELF. God never in the scripture has been impressed with numbers. More than likely he has trimmed them down, trimmed them down, and trimmed them down. I do not even know how many millions, I could not even tell you the number of people who were on the face of the earth and God decided to deal with all of them in Israel. Yes, He just decided to deal with all of them in Israel. Yes, you know that God's dealing with Israel was on behalf of every man. You know the Saviour comes on behalf of every man. I am not telling you mystery things. Just think about these things. Why did he not just deal with every man? Are you telling me that God could not have done that? But it is all according to the principle that He has laid down. You see God knows that Him dealing with every man will still result in Him having to deal with every one in Christ Jesus. That is a principle in God's heart, and what I am telling you is that He is not just after a bunch of anything. HE IS AFTER THE INCREASE OF HIMSELF IN EVERYTHING THAT HE BRINGS FORTH. God is not really interested in how many you can get in your building, whether you can pack it full, and God help you to do that, but He is interested in how much of HIMSELF He has in a people that are in that building. And I am just saying you and I get it all mixed up. We channel most of our energies toward getting the wrong thing and think we have what God wants. Later we find we have not, and that is the reason, you see, we have called the church a lot of people - get them in a building - and so what does that produce? It certainly has not produced a harvest. It has produced more schisms and divisions than I can even name.

When I went to Ghana the first time, we were invited there as a speaker for a month in a continuing Bible Conference with the leadership of thirty-five denominations from the Anglicans down to the Pentecostals. That is not even a drop in the bucket of the divisions that are in the church. So, that is what our concept of salvation has done to us. What I am telling you friends is, my God, we need to go back and look at this pattern and come to realize something of what our purpose in Christ is all about rather than having and bringing this mentality of the old over here. Nothing here (old) speaks of perfection. Forget it - as perfection - no, no - it does not speak as perfection. It sets forth a pattern. So we have God summing the nations up in Israel. Then what did God do with Israel? He summed Israel up in twelve tribes, and then He summed the twelve tribes up into two tribes. And finally, He summed both two tribes up into one man - DAVID.
Purpose is Seed
He just sums everything up and deals with it. We must finally come to some conclusions. Well, God, maybe You are after something here. Maybe we have some purpose relating to Your will, Your plan. Maybe not only the first creation but certainly the New Creation has a purpose that goes beyond just existing. Maybe there is a greater reason for just being a Christian than just being one. My Lord, maybe there is a greater reason for this fertile piece of property over there than just setting there fertile. MAYBE A SEED OUGHT TO BE PUT IN IT. Maybe there is a purpose for putting that seed there. Maybe the one that put it would be looking far ahead to a harvest of the exactness of that seed. If He were just proud of the land, then it would not really make any difference whether He had rocks or weeds. It would not really make any difference would it, if he were just proud of the land. But we know that is not quite the end of the story.

Eph 3:11
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
You and I are the earth; you and I are the land. "I've got me some good earth." Well, one might argue that is better than bad earth, but barren good earth is still not what God is after. "I am a Christian, brother. I am saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost." You know we go down the line. I have done that all my life - well wonderful. But what has God gotten in all of this? Do we not suppose that He has brought forth a New Creation in Christ for a purpose that goes beyond – I will say it again - just the existence of that creation. Look at the pattern again. When God gets an earth separated from the heavens, firmament separated from firmament, waters from waters, He immediately sets to bringing something forth in the earth after its own kind. Sweetheart, that same purpose is right here in Christ. Paul talked about it, and as we get on we will be dealing much more specifically with it ourselves. But you have to see the pattern. You have to see it because, we will go back to this pattern time and time again.
Sabbath Day
We are dealing with the seven days of New Creation. You know the first one had six. Well the second one had seven or at least it is all posed upon the seven. You know that - the Sabbath - the day of rest and entering into that rest. And there is only one Lord of the Sabbath. His name is not JW Luman. His name is not Gentile. His name is not Jew. Hallelujah to God. There is only one Lord of the Sabbath. You see, you and I have not gotten a hold of that yet. We still, because we live in a world of sight and sound, try to, (instead of seeing that as a pattern) find perfection over here in the old. We try to find perfection. We bring our days over into the New Creation, and we have seven days in our week and very graciously give the Lord one of them. He is the Lord of Sunday School. Do you understand what I am saying? Darling, we do not realize that it is just a pattern. Over here in the New Creation, there is in fact just one day. It is all summed up into that Sabbath day, and He is the Lord of it! Hallelujah to God! Over here (the New Creation) He is just Lord - Period! You can forget Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Here there is just one day and ye are children of the day. It is a Sabbath day, and He is the Lord of it. Hallelujah ! But there are few Christians walking in an understanding of that reality because we have not found out yet that the pattern is here (old) and the fullness is here in Christ. We are still trying to bring Him over into the old and make it work. Give God a day, and then if we are real spiritual, we will give God an hour in each day. You see that is a mental concept that we have to get rid of. I am not talking about just terminology. I am talking about coming to a Spirit-given comprehension with regard to this New Creation that you are in Christ. It is not just you comprehending that you are one. It is then that creation finally comprehending its purpose and beginning to function according to its purpose.

Completion In a Man
Again, the pattern is here. Creation then, whether it is the first or the second (we are looking at the pattern), in order to fulfill God's desires, was incomplete without what? A MAN - without a man. Do you see? He established a pattern. It remains; leave it alone. It is a pattern of harvest - seed bringing forth after its own kind. The only time He departed from that with regard to Himself was with man. He brought forth a man, but it does not say "after his own kind" because here He has no man after his own kind. But He has established that principle here and then he brings forth into view - A MAN. Now there has been therefore a tremendous prophetic statement made here in creation concerning that man. The First Creation is speaking of "One to come", and what is being said? What is being said is that this whole First Creation is for a man. A man is the center and purpose of it. The statement being made here is that without a man creation was incomplete. The First Creation and its man was but a pattern of that New Creation in Christ. Let’s continue to follow the pattern. God created a man. The man looked around and found nothing of himself - so he made man a helpmeet and set them there - "and called their name 'man' - called their name, Adam." Yes, that is true. "…In the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created" (Gen 5:1-2). He created them male and female and called their name mankind - "Adam".

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
God always sees them as man - one man. And this whole creation was summed up and found its fulfillment in a man. Consequently the seed and the harvest, that God is after and set forth in type, is not of apples and oranges but of mankind. But He does not find His kind in this man. Yet, He sets the pattern - a likeness, though without true substance. The substance is to come later. But the pattern is here. I want you to see that the harvest, the seed, the kind, finally comes here. If it had just been a principle and a cow could have satisfied it, then why did God create a man? In fact everything that was created found its purpose in a man. Adam named it all. And Adam was given dominion. What is the thing I want you to see? I want you to see the pattern established and yet unfulfilled - not made perfect. The end of that pattern was a man; the end of that pattern is a man. Consequently the seed, the kind, the harvest is all summed up in a man. But God finds nothing of Himself here yet, but He has established the pattern. He gives this whole creation to a man to have dominion over it. Now I know that man released that dominion to the enemy and the curse is set up. But the point is God's pattern is intact through the creation of the man.

Disruption
Then comes the disruption. We will talk about the disruption. There is one thing that dealt with the disruption, and we are going to see or we will never understand the reality of the New Creation. THE CROSS DEALS WITH THE DISRUPTION. You can not deny the disruption. God did not deny it. He just dealt with it. And he dealt with it fully, totally and completely - more than most of us think. And then from the disruption of the world [Concordant Literal New Testament Translation] (in the King James Version it is called the foundation), there is ANOTHER that came forth in the very NEWNESS OF CHRIST!

Fullness In the Man Christ Jesus
Here He does not establish a pattern, but He gets the fullness of the pattern that He established. Here it is not trees and, no, no, here is a man - takes up where this man (old creation) was - here - is a New Creation - yes, but this New Creation is - A MAN. It is for the purpose of a man. A man is given dominion and authority. Hallelujah! And this whole creation, which is you and I, finds its purpose in a MAN. It is certainly not in an Adamic man, but in a man, nonetheless, the very man that God has seen from the beginning; that man which is revealed in the person of His Own Son - THE MAN - CHRIST JESUS - HALLELUJAH - THE MAN CHRIST JESUS! .

For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
I want to bring this thing just as clearly as it can be brought because the pattern is clear. Now I realize only the Spirit of God can reveal the man, but the pattern is clear. There is no point jumbling the pattern. The whole thing of this creation culminated with what? The pattern is laid, everything is there, and He brought forth a man. He brought forth a man, just short of his expectation. He brought forth a pattern, a pattern that would be fulfilled in Christ. He even set the pattern of that in the garden - the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. He even established that in the garden. So the pattern is there.

God's purpose for creation is a HARVEST. To get a harvest, He plants a SEED. When He plants a seed, the seed brings forth its OWN KIND - the purpose of this earth. Now man comes in and all of that - the seed, the harvest, the kind is seen - GOD IS AFTER A MAN. It is a man in type and in pattern. The Bible says that the first man was made after the earth, earthy. The first man was a living soul. But the second man is NOT after the earth, earthy. The second man is the LORD FROM HEAVEN! And as we have borne the image of the first, we shall bear the image of the second. Hallelujah to the Lamb of the Living God!

Bearing the image of the seed is what the harvest is all about! God is not after a bunch of us. He is after many who are bearing the image OF ONE. That is what the harvest is all about. Here in this creation (old) His desire was to bring forth one man who would multiply and fill the earth with himself. Here in this New Creation, His whole desire is BY HIS SEED to bring forth ONE MAN who multiplies HIMSELF AND BRINGS FORTH his fullness in a whole creation! Hallelujah to God. God's principle being fulfilled in Christ Jesus. There is a purpose in you and I being in Him. There is a purpose. That purpose is HARVEST. Harvest is not a bunch of us. HARVEST IS A FULL MEASURE OF HIM!

Gen 9:1
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

Rom 8:28-29
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Eph 4:13

And in that creation, we see a SON coming forth. He is coming forth in VISION, and in VOICE, and in GLORY! Blessed be the lamb of the living God!
