Part 3 – From The Words To The Person

The Person of The Thing

We are dealing with the necessity of all things coming to be defined in Christ: not simply a better word definition, but that in the reality and knowledge of Christ, we come from the word of the thing, to the PERSON of the thing. We are dealing specifically with LIFE: Life coming to its full definition in Christ; but then, everything of Life comes to be fully defined in Christ as well – everything. It comes from the word: love, joy, peace, righteousness, thanksgiving, praise – whatever. These are words having to do with Life. Words having to do with reality must finally come beyond just words, and you must come to realize this if we grow up in Him. In Hebrews 12 the writer says in verse 18, " For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, not unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest." Now we know that this mountain is Mount Sinai, representing the Old Covenant. But did you read that description? Verse 19 says it is the mount of WORDS! "and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more." This is where we say words. Trumpets are a type and symbol of the True Voice of Christ. Words is what we use until a thing comes to its full definition in The Person of Son, and then we’re taken not only beyond word definitions; we’re taken beyond the words themselves right into The Son. And the reality there becomes actually unspeakable!

Ephesians 3:8 – Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Beyond Words

Oh, we can still use words relating to it, but the reality of it gets beyond words, and it becomes unspeakable. I wonder how many have come to that yet. Have I, have you? That’s something we are faced with in these lessons about "I AM The Door", because He is the Door to all of that. We have very little concept of the magnificence and excellency of that Door! Door into what? Door into Life – but Life is abundant! That’s in John 10:10. Oh my – I AM come… The abundance of Life goes so far beyond words. The abundance of Life can only be defined in the fulness of Christ. "It pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell." (Colossians 1:19) In Him we come to the realization – REALITY OF LIFE. And the things that used to be words to us now become an expression of Life: something that is expressed out from us, out from the Life that is in us – everyday. So that every day we get beyond the rituals of them, and get into the Reality and The Person of them, and so few believers have ever done that yet!

2 Corinthians 9:15 – Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

2 Corinthians 12:4 – How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

1 Peter 1:8 – Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

2 Corinthians 2:14,15 – Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish.

The Expression of Life

We use words like: "Thank you Jesus, Thank you Jesus." But is that the expression of Life we live? Are we an expression of that? Is that what we express every day? Life is an expression of that if Life is truly Christ. "You are Lord, You are Lord" – all the WORDS we say: we sing and say them. But are we an expression of that? Is that reality – every day? Are we an expression of Life, or, as these living beings we’ve been talking about – are we still trying to find reasons for thanksgiving, reasons for praise? Are we still trying to find Life in people, places and things, conditions and environments? Or have we found it in Him, and is every situation, person, place and thing an arena of expression for that Life? THAT Life. I think most believers are still worshipping on the wrong side of the veil, living on the wrong side of the veil. There are emblems there that speak of Christ: in the holy place the candelabra speaks of Christ and the Church. Most of us speak of Christ and the Church. It’s our words, a word – we speak of it. We are continually trying to renew the oil. And the other emblems are all there, and they all speak of Christ, but beyond the veil… that’s something else again.

Ephesians 5:20 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 – In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Philippians 2:14-16 – Do all things without murmurings and disputings; That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Exodus 26:31,33 – And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made.

And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony; and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.

Beyond The Veil

That’s a new comprehension. That’s where all things come to be defined in the Glory of God. The Glory of God – not as a word, not as a feeling, not as a location – but as a reality of Christ, as a relationship into which we enter, and out from which we live. Have we passed from words to Person yet? In our hearts – have we done that? Or are we doing that? That’s the thing with which we are faced. That’s the real issue we face. In our hearts have we come from the Covenant of WORDS to the Covenant of PERSON? Have we come from the Covenant of saying words to the Covenant of Living Expression of The Person? And remember that both Covenants were given of God, but one supercedes the other. One was the Covenant of Promise; the other is the Covenant of Fulfillment: finding all things that were promised – fulfilled in Christ. Finding all things we say, all the words – fulfilled in Him, to the extent that those words are formed in us as nature, character and substance. Oh beloved, most of us come far short of the substance. We are well rehearsed in the words, and we believe the words; but we are short on substance.

Exodus 26:34,35 – And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place. And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and thou shalt put the table on the north side.

Hebrews 9:2-4 – For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant.

Hebrews 8:7,8,13 – For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he said, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Judah.

In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. How that he was vasug

Colossians 2:16,17 – Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Substance

We are short on substance. And true Substance is in The Person. It’s one thing to talk about Jesus to people; it’s another thing to manifest and express Him. It is! The one Covenant was given by God speaking at sundry times and in divers manners to the fathers through the prophets. But the New Covenant is given in that God hath spoken IN SON. Everything He sought to say in the prophets… and I said "sought to say" because God could not perfectly speak in the prophets. It was God speaking, but He could not perfectly speak in the prophets. Everything He sought to say in the prophets, He has perfectly said in His Son. In which Covenant are we? We have come from death unto Life, but have we brought the Old Covenant along with us in our hearts? Are we trying to maintain the Old Covenant in Life? Are we trying to define Life and all the things of Life in an Old Covenant comprehension? Words – repeated words to God, or manifesting Word to The Father? Spirit – Truth. In fact, do our words that we say testify of Spirit and Truth? This is what The Lord is dealing with in the heart of every believer who has truly a desire to know Him, to come beyond the veil of the old, and live in the reality of the New. Or, you can put it off to the future: but if you do, you are putting off what is NOW real in Christ. And you are rejecting it. This is where the Lord is dealing with us.

Hebrews 1:1,2 – God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

John 5:24 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation: but is passed from death unto life.

Hebrews 10:9 – Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Philippians 3:10 – That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.

Colossians 1:26 – Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.

Life Proceeds Out From Him

So we want to continue. We spoke of bringing Life to a new definition, and we found that had to come beyond words, even Greek and Hebrew words. It has to come beyond our words, and come to be defined in The Person. We were looking in John 110:7-10 and the heart of it is, "I am come that ye might have life, and have it more abundantly." But in Divine order, prior to that is: "I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture." Now the term "in and out" here does NOT mean what we think it means. We think its like we are "in" this building, and then we go "out". No, this is a term that is translated by a Greek word that means ‘to flow out, to proceed out from a place.’ All Life proceeds out from Him to those who have entered in. It’s not a question of me living in Him, and me living out of Him. Now that’s the way most Christians live. We go to Church, and then we leave Church. We don’t comprehend we are the Church! We worship, and then we don’t worship; we praise, and then we don’t praise. We never have quite comprehended yet that we are either a praise, or all of our words are just for nothing! We’ve never quite comprehended that yet. We like to do things rather than express reality.

1 Peter 2:9 – But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Expressing Reality to The World

Now if our doing of things is an expression of reality – then fine; but you have to agree with me that so many times it is not. It is just the doing of things; our "religious duty". We have our little order in which we do them. That’s not what this is all about. That’s not what it is in its original context. But it is that we proceed out from there – into the world. The picture of it is a river flowing out from the Throne of God into all the earth. The idea behind the Greek term here is the place out from which it flows. But see, it never quits flowing! It’s not turned on and then shut off.

Ezekiel 47:1,8,9 – Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea; which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live; and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed, and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Revelation 22:1,2 – And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Ground to Reveal The Son

Now we are in our text here in John 10 so that The Spirit of God may have ground in which to reveal The Son. That’s why we consider together. That’s why two believers would sit and consider together: that they would create in one another ground for the appearing of The Son, the revealing of The Son. That’s what these sharings are all about. Only The Spirit of God can reveal, but you must present Him ground. You MUST present Him ground! What kind of a farmer goes and throws seed on top of the ground and says, ‘Do your best’, or throw it out there and holler ‘Grow!’? You know the parable: there’s nothing wrong with the seed in any of those instances. It’s the ground – not prepared.

Luke 8:5,8,15 – A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side…

And some fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Listen, our gatherings, our sharings are for ground preparation, so that The Spirit may have ground in which to reveal The Son, The True Seed, The True Word, The Living Word. And I’ve had a little experience with planting, but I get in a hurry. I drag the plow over the ground once or twice and figure that’s enough – let’s get the seed in the ground and get on with this! And it never works – I always get more weeds than seeds. Either I didn’t sufficiently turn the soil, or I didn’t get it deep enough, or the ground wasn’t broken up enough so the water could saturate the ground. And I’d look at that and the Lord would bring real Truth to my heart, and He’d say, ‘You can’t violate Truth even in nature and make it work.’

Creating Ground

So I’m not in a rush to cover everything I’ve got in a notebook. I’m interesting in creating ground for The Spirit of God to reveal Christ in a way that He wants to do in you; creating ground. That’s the reason I don’t rush and skip over things. I start where we left off. And before we go forward into other areas, I want to address this DOOR because this is the first. ‘I AM THE DOOR." So you might as well say, ‘Lord, appear in that.’ So there is a Door set before us, and there is a question that is set before us that are gathered here in Him, in His Spirit, in the reality of Christ. Then there is set before us a Door – we will either enter in through this Door, or we won’t. But The Door is always going to be there, and there’s never going to be any other way to get where your would want to go than through This Door!

THE Door

I Am THE Door. And it’s important that it’s not just "a" Door. The word "the" here is a definite article in the Greek, and in many cases it doesn’t exist in the Hebrew. And the only thing that can replace this definite article in the Greek is the object itself: the person of the object itself. Because "The" Door means it’s not just "A" Door; not just "some" Door, but an "ONLY" Door. And the only thing that can define the word "the" is the word which means ‘he, she, it’ – it’s a personification word. The only thing that can replace it is "I AM". And that’s the reason why a lot of times when I am quoting I won’t say ‘I am THE Door"; I will say ‘I am Door’, because that’s what it is saying. Now I am A Door, not I am SOME Door – I am THE Door. That’s saying, ‘ I Am I AM Door’ because the reference of "the" is to the I AM and the Door personifies it. This little language lesson means something because it lets me know that Jesus in speaking and John in writing is trying even in their "words" to reveal Spiritual reality. So Jesus defines The Door as Himself. I AM Door. Now that does something: that gives this Door great dimensions; it gives this Door all the dimensions of Christ Himself! So that means we can’t get any preconceived ideas as to what may or may not be through that Door. We can’t turn our imagination loose there. We can only truly find that by entering in because that Door has all the dimensions of CHRIST HIMSELF.

Christ Must Appear in the Words

Oh, that you and I would be willing in our hearts to just lay aside our preconceived ideas – on what is and what is not Spiritual Life. Our preconceived ideas: those ideas that have been conceived by our definition of certain words. Words that we say, and form our opinions around – never having actually seen Christ appearing in any of them. We use those words: we are people who use words to describe Christ, and that’s the backward way around? Words – New Covenant words do NOT describe Christ: He describes them! We’ve got to get that! That until you see Him, you do not understand fully these words – as they are used in the scripture. Because as they are used in the scripture, they do not testify of themselves: they testify of HIM! Oh, if we would just go to the scripture with that understanding in our heart!

John 5:39 – Search the scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Terms Defined in Him

And when we come to something like The Door: instead of saying, ‘Lord, I don’t understand this word "Door", I need to find a definition’; we would say, ‘Lord, I don’t understand this term. Just appear – let me see this in You.’ Because I have found that when you go to the scriptures you see what you are looking for. You find what you are searching for. If you are searching for a better definition; you’ll find one. But if you are searching for that to be defined in Christ, The Eternal Father says, "Seek and ye shall find, ask and it will be given to you, knock and it shall be opened unto you." (Matthew 7:7) What do you think He’s talking about? Things? No; what do you knock on? A Door! What do you seek for? The pearl of great price, the treasure of God in earthen vessels. What in the world do you ask for except The Bread that is Living? You have not because you ask not, and when you ask, you ask with the wrong comprehension; you ask amiss. The Lord can not give you more than He has provided. The Lord can not give you something other than what He has provided. What He has provided, He has provided IN HIS SON. Anything else would be less! We are always asking for something less.

Matthew 13:45,46 – Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

2 Corinthians 4:7 – But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

John 6:51 – I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

James 4:3 – Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Ephesians 1:3 – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Way Out – Way In

I’m talking about going into the scriptures: we’re always asking for something less. This Door can only be defined by the very Person of The I AM. And there’s something else about this Door. The Door is not our way out: much more, it is our way in. Please understand, there is not just a way out. If there’s just a way out, then if you took that way, or took that Door, where would you be? Out –you’d just be out. And the whole purpose and intention of God is not just to get you out, but rather to bring you in. To bring you in! Honestly, I could talk to you for days on the differences of those two understandings in the lives of Christians. For instance, in the lives of most Christians, Salvation is NOT doing what they used to do: it’s getting out. You talk to them about "going in" and they will say, ‘Oh yes, maybe one die when we die.’ Well, where am I now? Well, you’re just "out". You haven’t gotten to the land yet: you’re just out. You haven’t entered in" you’re just out!

Colossians 1:13 – Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.

A Greater Reality

Well, the fact is you are OUT; but there is a greater reality than the fact. In most cases you can pretty well see what you are out from. But only The Spirit of God can reveal what you are into. And I guess that’s the reason most people just think they are out. But do you realize that if Salvation is just being out to you then you spend your whole Salvation looking back from whence you came? And the scriptures say that in Hebrews 11:15, "And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned." And with most Christians that’s the struggle. We are comparing the Adamic being or the Life of Christ. Christians are forever in a struggle: not about going out and committing sins, but about living as an Adamic being: finding their life in people, places and things. They are finding their life in the natural surroundings, rather than living in Christ, and manifesting that Life in their natural surroundings, rather than trying to find it there. We are trying to do what Christ already is; rather than having Him revealed in us and becoming an expression of Who He is in all that we do, rather than just trying to do. We must finally come to see the difference between the two. We talk about the satisfaction of the soul. See, the soul is not satisfied in trying to do or trying to be. The soul is satisfied in the realization, in the revelation of Who Christ is! That’s the transforming of the soul. That’s the sufficiency, that’s the satisfaction. That’s the longing, the love, the joy of the soul to whoever abides in the presence of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 4:9,10 – Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Colossians 1:29 – Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Colossians 3:4 – When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

2 Corinthians 3:5 – Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

2 Corinthians 9:8 – And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

Psalm 16:11 – Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Deliverance

Let’s go to Exodus 15:17. "Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established." What a description here is given of that reality that is fulfilled in Christ! Where did God perform the thing of which He speaks in these verses? This is the Song of Moses. This was to all natural observation a song of DELIVERANCE. They had been delivered. Yes, but look at it from God’s viewpoint. From Israel’s viewpoint, and from here’s what is from most Christian’s viewpoint – deliverance had left them in the wilderness. But look at God’s viewpoint. Where did God’s viewpoint begin? Jesus was talking about it in John 10. The deliverance began way back there when a lamb was killed, when blood was put on the door of their houses. When they entered in through the door to the house, that’s where their deliverance begins. That’s where they were delivered. They were delivered from death unto Life. All they had to do then was just walk out of Egypt! The Red Sea was not for their deliverance: the Red Sea was for the destruction of Egypt! The blood was for their deliverance. Entering in through the door was for their deliverance! We think it’s a getting out. It’s not – it’s a getting in!

John 10:11 – I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Exodus 12:5-7 – Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year; ye shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

Exodus 14:27,28 – And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

Wilderness is NOT Deliverance

And I haven’t met a handful of Christians that understands that. But that should come as no surprise to you. In reality there were probably just three Israelites that understood that! Out of how many? Three million? Moses, Joshua and Caleb – that’s about it! But you ask the other Israelites: what is your deliverance? And they will say: we are in the wilderness, we’re out! But that lasted about three or four days and they got thirsty! And they said the water here isn’t any good. As bad as the Nile was, that water was better! And here are your Christians – they have no comprehension. That’s the reason Paul says we are not pilgrims and sojourners and strangers wandering around in the wilderness. We have been brought into Christ. We are fellow citizens, we drink from streams of living water! We’ve come into a reality. Salvation – Life is NOT getting out. Life is not just getting out of death. Life is entering into fulness – FULNESS! It’s not just getting out of death. Deliverance is not getting out. And God understood that. And because those people did not understand that – what happened? They failed to enter in!

Exodus 15:22,23 – So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter; therefore the name of it was Marah.

Ephesians 2:19 – Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.

Ephesians 3:19 – And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Entering In By The Door

That Door – look back there. That one little Door with the blood on it was their Door entering it! Entering in! They never comprehended that, and so they came to a particular dimension of God, to a particular dimension of Life, and they would not enter in. They refused! And it was just like refusing the blood on the Door: it was just like refusing the whole Door, because The Door has dimensions to it. The dimensions are as many as the fulness of Christ. They are as many as the Life of Christ. We are always entering in through The Door – ALWAYS entering in through The Door! It’s not nine thousand doors, but a Door with more dimensions than you can count! Always entering in; and it’s always entering in through the BLOOD. It’s always costing me – my life. Yes, but it’s always finding the greatness, the reality of His Life – of LIFE.

Numbers 14:2,3 – And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses, and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would God we had died in this wilderness! And wherefore hath the Lord brought us into this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? Were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

Hebrews 10:19 – Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.

Israel Knew The Door

And because they would not do that, what happened? Well, they died! They all died in the wilderness. When Jesus says "I am the door" they KNEW what Door He’s talking about! He is identifying Himself with that type, that shadow, that Door of that House, and the song of Moses, which by natural observance seems to be a song of deliverance out is really a promise of going in. And this promise comes to be fulfilled IN CHRIST. This is what we are seeing in Exodus 15:17. It’s the song of Moses, and right in the midst of the book called Exodus, which is "getting out", look at the truth which is here. Look at what it’s all about. "Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance…" Sure, "Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone." (John 12:24) You plant a seed! "You shall bring them in…in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. The Lord shall reign for ever and ever." Oh my, where do you think that’s fulfilled except IN CHRIST JESUS! "I am the door, if any man by Me enter in…"

IN – In Christ

Paul says, "If any man be in Christ. He’s a new creation…" 2 Corinthians 5:17. Over 200 times the scriptures say IN Christ, IN whom, IN Him. IN – thou shalt bring them IN. You will bring them into the place you have prepared for yourself. What did Jesus say in John 14:3? "I will receive you unto myself, that where I am, ye may be also." Verse 20, "At that day you will know I am in my Father, you are in me, and I am in you." This is Exodus’ promise – fulfilled in Jesus Christ because HE IS THE DOOR! Jesus tied all of this together: sums it all up, and brings it to its fulness in Himself. IN Himself – what a Door! What a glorious Door, friends! We must enter this Door. We have been confronted with the life which is "not", and now we are being confronted with the Life which "is". And there’s a Door between the two. I may be repeating this, but I need to hammer it into our hearts. The Door is not simply for getting out; it’s a Door IN. God isn’t interested in just getting us out, but bringing us into the reality of all that is in Christ Jesus, and in Him dwells all fulness!

Ephesians 1:4 – According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Ephesians 2:6 – And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in him are yea and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

Colossians 2:9 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Face to Face With The I AM

So we have come to what I call for purposes of teaching, "The I AM Factor". Here we are coming face to face with The I AM. See, most of us don’t put it altogether. When God sent Moses to speak to the Israelites, rather than using one of the names He used before dealing with Adam or Noah, or even with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He used another name. He used a name that was not suggestive of what He had done, or what He would do, or of doing at all. He used the name declaring who He is. Moses said, ‘Whom shall I say sent me?’ And of all the other names that He could have used, He wanted to reveal Himself in a different way. Why? Because He had said, "Israel is my son." Beloved, there is a time when God wants you and I, in our hearts, in our comprehension, to come beyond our present definitions of Salvation. He wants us to understand that Salvation is more than being a New Creation; as real and as glorious as that is! A New Creation is a New Heaven and a New earth, a New Jerusalem! Most believers haven’t even considered the good of that; but the Lord would bring us beyond that. Because all of those things He had already dealt with in types and shadows in either Adam, or Noah, or Abraham, or Isaac or Jacob.

Exodus 3:13,14 – And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM; and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel. I AM hath sent me unto you.

Exodus 4:22 – And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn.

Hebrews 6:1 – Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God.

A New Identification

But there was something He had never dealt with. There was an identification that He had wanted with His people that He had never revealed until now with Moses and Israel: the type of Christ and His Body. We read that in Hebrews 3:5,6, "And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end." Yes, the type is there: it is unmistakable. And there is a comprehension that God would bring you and I to, and He can only do that in the Person of The I AM. He can’t do that by reminding us of something He did. He can’t do that by reminding us of how good He is, or how great He is. No, it’s got to go beyond that. This name takes us into a comprehension of God that is beyond all the other. He said to Moses, " I AM THAT I AM." And in doing that, He simply overwhelmed Moses with the reality of Himself! So much so that Moses, who was raised in Egypt, who was a ruler in Egypt, came out of that reality saying, ‘I can’t talk, I’m a stutterer, I can’t say what I’ve seen, I can’t even speak. Oh God, help me!’

Exodus 6:2,3 – And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the Lord: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

Exodus 4:10 – And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto they servant, but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.

When Christ is Revealed

That’s what happens every time Christ is revealed. You come out saying, ‘Oh God, I can’t speak of it, I can’t say it, my tongue can’t form the words.’ You are like Isaiah who falls down before Him and says, "Oh God, I’m a man of unclean tongue!" That was a prophet of God! "I’ve spoken many things, but I can’t speak this!" Yes, this is what happens when The I AM is revealed in you! He overwhelmed Moses. I AM THAT I AM. Moses was overwhelmed, and he had to be, because Moses could not now go in his name. He tried that. He could not now go in his name. Like most of us do; most ministries do – we come in OUR name. "So-and-so Evangelistic Association, So-and-So ministry." Now I know we’ve all got names, but those are NOT the names we come in. You don’t approach God by that name – no you don’t! Moses was going to have to go in another name. Remember what Jesus said? He said if I came in My own name you would receive Me. But you won’t receive Me because I come in the name of another. What does it mean to come in the name of another? It means coming in the reality of NOT I – and in our case, not I, but Christ liveth in me. And in the case of the Lord Jesus, He came saying, "The Father and I are one." (John 10:30) "If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen Him." (John 14:9,10) Why? Because I come not in My own name!

John 5:43,44 – I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?

Galatians 2:20 – I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

John 14:9,10 – Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

A New Reality

A whole new definition takes place here. A whole new reality takes place here. This is what happened in the heart of Paul to the extent that he heard about a confusion going on in the Church, and he wrote a letter to the Corinthians and rebuked them and said, ‘what do you mean saying I am of Paul? And what do you mean saying I am of Apollos? And some saying I am of Christ? No, if there is such division in you, then you are NOT of Christ! Do you not understand that one plants, and the other waters, but it is God who gives the increase? Do you not understand that you are God’s House and God’s husbandry, and God’s vineyard?’ Moses could not, for the task ahead, go in his own name. But he didn’t know the name! No, because the Name has to be revealed of God. And The Lord has allowed us to come nigh – in our comprehension – to Him; He brings us nigh unto Him by identifying Himself to us, by revealing Himself in The Son. Then you and I come to see The Son is my Righteousness, The Son is my Holiness, The Son is my Life… and on and on. And that’s all true, The Lord lets us approach that way. But there is a dimension of that Door that we are not going to go any farther by just knowing these things about Him, and knowing Him in that way, even though that’s true. No, there is a Door through which we can not go except in His Name – period, understanding it is no more me: I can not enter in here but by Him. And then He describes the dimensions of That Door. "No man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)

1 Corinthians 3:3-9 – For ye are yet carnal; for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one; and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

All Gathered in I AM

So here’s the I AM Factor. He gathers all this up into I AM: I AM Way, Truth and Life. (John 14:6) Those are the dimensions of The Door of The I AM. Right there is the dimension where only The I AM suffices. He overwhelmed Moses with that realization, with that revelation; He overwhelmed Paul with that revelation. And He said, ‘Now go tell my people I AM has sent you." So here comes Paul – not in his name. Here comes Paul saying, " I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…" (Galatians 2:20) The testimony I bring to you is not of Paul. I bring you the Testimony of God in The Finished Work of His Son! I’m telling you, there’s a dimension of The Door which is Christ, that only one name is going to get you through. Not the name that He defined Salvation in Adam or Noah, or even in Abraham. You’ll come to know Him in those ways, because in those ways you find a New Creation. You find many realizations, all of which are fulfilled in Christ, and are part of our Salvation. And many of us have come to comprehend those, but finally He comes to this way: That He would have you to know that your Life is not only of Him, by Him, from Him, but is IN HIM – is HE HIMSELF! And that no one lives here but The I AM!

1 Corinthians 2:2 – For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

2 Corinthians 5:15 – And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Three Dimensions of The Door

Now for teaching purposes I am referring to that as "The I AM Factor". Sooner of later we are going to come to The I AM Factor. The Door is three dimensional: I AM, I AM, I AM. I AM Way, I AM Truth, I AM Life. I AM, I AM, I AM. Let us take a closer look at The Door and those dimensions. We have looked at the reason for The Door. Why must there be a Door? There must be a Door because of the condition that is brought about by the disobedience of one – the Adamic creation. Here there were living souls, but they are actually the living dead, because they have no Life. And that’s what they are: the living dead. It is the world of people, places, and things. I want us to see this Door in a way that perhaps we’ve never seen this Door before. Then we must see this Door in The Person of Christ, but that must be a Work of The Spirit; but until the ground is prepared in us, The Spirit can not do that Work. That’s why I urge you to continually search the Scripture. This is why we as a fellowship and a ministry are dedicated to publish not just publications, but Study Manuals to help you simply prepare an environment, and prepare a condition in your heart for The Work of The Spirit.

Romans 5:12,19 – Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

2 Timothy 2:15 – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Working of The Spirit

I know the Spirit has had many Works in you. The Spirit has had a Work going on in me since I was six years old. I mean literally: that Work that is planned and purposed, and known and chosen from before the ages – but it started in me at that time. The Work of The Spirit; but the Work of The Spirit has always been toward I AM THAT I AM. You have to understand that the Work of The Spirit in all that He has done, has been toward the revealing of Who The Son is. And it’s been that way. You and I have camped out on a lot of those Works, and in some cases it’s taken some people years, because in those cases we camp out in those Works. We say, ‘My God, this is good, this is God. Let’s stay here!’ And the Lord has to come in and tear up our nest and bring in dissatisfaction in that place, and we say, ‘Wait a minute, I thought this was of God!’ Yes, it was of God, but that’s not all there is of God! It’s a Work of The Spirit, but it’s toward an end; it’s toward a purpose, it’s toward a finality. And the end and the finality to which it is toward is THE I AM THAT I AM, and there is no end to Him! In Him all fulness dwells! In Him you face eternity! Why? Because you’ve faced The Eternal One!

Ephesians 3:11 – According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Galatians 1:15,16 – But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen…

John 16:14 – He (The Spirit of Truth) shall glorify me; for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Numbers 32:4,5,19 – Even the country which the Lord smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle: Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.

1 Timothy 6:16 – Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Spirit Reveals The Word In You

And you don’t face Him as afar off – even IN you! The Word of God comes nigh to us through preaching, but the Word of God is IN US by REVELATION. Preaching brings the Word nigh: The Spirit reveals The Word in you. The two work together: one bringing us to an environment, and the other bringing forth The Son! So I urge you to search the scripture. Our publications and Study Manuals are not to lead you away from the reality of Christ, but to prepare ground in you FOR the reality of Christ. They are not full of "life stories" (and all those may be good), but we want to get to the point of groundbreaking: we want to get to the point of preparing ground for the revealing of The Son. We do that in our publications and sharings, else we are disappointed. And I’ve never been disappointed in the appearing of Christ!

Romans 10:8 – But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach.

Waiting On Judgment

So it is because of that condition: that condition of that world, having no life; trying to find Life in things, being dead in sin, yet thinking that they live. What do we actually have there in that condition? What is actually there? Here there is a fearful waiting on JUDGMENT to come. That’s what that Adamic world was all about, and is all about for those who still insist upon living there. My problem is that this has somehow seeped over into the Church. It didn’t come through The Door, but it got into some Christian hearts, and they are still waiting on a fearful judgment. I know that digs down into some old ‘insurance doctrines’ so I’ll just back up and stay away from them, but I’m telling you it’s true. I talk to more Christians than I do anybody else, and I talk to a lot of Christians who in their hearts are still waiting for a fearful judgment. They don’t know whether they have done enough or not, or whether they should do some more. They don’t know, and it’s still based on that. They have come from death unto Life, and they don’t really know it! To them Salvation is they are out: but they are just in a wilderness – waiting on a better land! They don’t understand that was the natural view; but that the Spiritual view was they had entered in through a Door – THEY ARE IN. And their whole walk was to be an exhibition of that.

2 Peter 2:9 – The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.

Revelation 14:7 – Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of water.

John 5:24 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.

Already Entered In

Had they understood that, they would have come right up to the Jordan and said, ‘Oh, let’s get on across!’ Why? ‘Because we’re already entered in! Let’s go over there and manifest Life!’ Yes sir, they would have. But it was not in their mind. They were continually considering the place from whence they came out from. That’s what they thought deliverance was, and whenever something didn’t please them, they wanted to go back! That’s the Adamic world. It should not be the condition in the heart of a Christian, but it is in so many cases, because most Christians, though they have come from death unto Life by Spirit, they have not yet come by Truth! They have not come from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant. They haven’t come from the Covenant of words to the Covenant of Person. In their hearts they have not come there; and that’s what the soul keeps crying for. That’s what it’s for! See, the soul was never created to get out, because when God first breathed and man became a living soul, there wasn’t anything to get out from. There was just communion to have. The soul wasn’t created to get out. Yes, now through deception I understand sin entered, separation occurred, and now the soul separated from God is reckoned dead. You’ve got the "living dead". But just getting out of that condition is not going to satisfy the soul, because the soul was created for more than that to begin with!

Numbers 11:5,6 – We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick; But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.

Getting In By The Door

The soul was created to get in. The soul was created to have Life and to enter into that Life. Jesus says, ‘Okay, if you want to do that, I AM The Door, you’ve got to enter in this way. No man cometh to the Father but by Me.’ (John 14:6) And that doesn’t mean just saying ‘Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." No, that is BY HIM. Yes, entering in through The Door; it’s something that takes place in our hearts, in our souls. It’s our souls that are crying for this. And really the soul becomes the expression of this. We serve it in our bodies. We think "we" can express it. Your soul is the only true expression of Christ, because Christ is in you; and it is the soul. But what the soul expresses, the body serves. And it then becomes reasonable… our bodies serve. But most Christians have it backwards. They want the bodies to "do". "Do something" that is righteous. No, the body serves that which is righteous. The Righteous One is revealed in you. We’ve got it backwards! And that’s because we haven’t come from the Covenant of words to the Covenant of I AM, to the Covenant of The Person. That’s because we are living in the wrong name! "Tell them I AM sent you." See, that’s what Jesus came doing, only He came saying I AM THE I AM!

1 Peter 1:9 – Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Psalm 107:9 – For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Psalm 103:1,2 – Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Matthew 11:29 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Romans 12:1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

The Sentence of Death

Paul came saying I am a servant of The I AM! The I AM sent me: but He didn’t just send me: HE CAME IN ME! I present Him unto you! Not in words; it’s in Person. We need to understand that. We’re not to be imitators of Him, but expressions of Him. And that expression comes out from the soul, out from the heart, where there is an Eternal, actual change through the revealing of Christ. "… changed into that same image…" ( 2 Corinthians 3:18) And that simply means that nature, that character, that substance. This is like a man in prison – sentenced to death. This example only goes so far as it is physically true, but it speaks of a Spiritual reality that this whole Adamic creation faces, and that most Christians in their hearts think that they are facing too. And it’s like a man in prison sentenced to death. Now, while waiting to die… ("As it is appointed unto man once to die…"Hebrews 9:27) ("Thou shalt surely die…"Genesis 2:17) So there he is – under the sentence of death – waiting to die. Listen – he’s dead! My God, he’s dead – death is all around him! This is just an example, but it’s much, much worse in the reality of the soul. And to think that some Christians still carry that kind of torment in them just kills me! Because it is NOT the condition of being in Christ. It’s the condition of NOT being in Christ.

Romans 1:1 – Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.

Galatians 1:10 – For do I now persuade men or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Not Knowing The Truth

How did Christians come to think that same way? Well, by not knowing the Truth; by never coming beyond words to The Living Word. But here’s this man: he’s sentenced to death. Man – he’s dead: death is all around him. He can try to find Life: he gets a visitor and he tries to find Life in that visitor. But even while that visitor is there, he knows the visitor is coming and going. And he’s there, and he’s unto death. Every bite he eats – he’s under sentence of death. And everybody that he sees just magnifies that. He’s under sentence of death. He’s waiting execution of judgment. There’s no way out but DEATH; but he can’t die until the APPOINTED TIME! And he’s got all these lawyers (these preachers) that are trying to get him an "extension of life", and call it "Christianity". Now I’m just using this as an analogy of the other, but the whole point is the man is under sentence of death, and there’s nobody going to change that. But they are trying to do that, and get extensions. Hope springs… and hope goes down. Finally, we’ve heard of prisoners who just say: ‘Kill me and get it over with!’ They came to that reality.

John 8:38 – If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Death is The Way Out

Now there are some who have been unjustly accused, but I’m talking about the real thing. Nobody here in this Adamic creation has been unjustly accused. They are under the sentence of death, and are not getting out but by death – and that’s that! And you can get all the lawyers you want to try to get you an extension on life… come along with their little sermons and all of that. They will show you how to be a better person, and do this, and do that. But the sentence of death is still there in the midnight hour. It’s still there.

Romans 3:10,23 – As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

The Appointed Time

Dead – but can’t die. That’s what I call "The living dead". He can’t die until the appointed time. Then in the fulness of time… ONE COMES. See, that’s what actually happened, but a lot of believers like those in Israel who came out; they don’t understand that. So, in the fulness of time One has to come. One has to come to them IN TURTH. The Truth of that One has to come and liberate them – not from the actual death, but from the condemnation of it that they are still carrying in their heart. Because they have by Christ come to Life, and they don’t know it. In their hearts there is one under the sentence of death because some preacher told them that’s how it is. I’m trying to show you that there is a real condition, but we’ve been delivered OUT of that condition by Him. But have we in our hearts come to the TRUTH of that deliverance? It’s not out – it’s IN! Have we come to that? Has THE I AM appeared? In the fulness of time One comes. Yes, "But when the fulness of time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." (Galatians 4:4,5) "Them that were under the law" – what does that mean? Those that were under the sentence of death. The law brought the sentence of death upon all humanity. He came to redeem those that were under the sentence of death. How did He do it? He brought that whole first creation to another condition.

Romans 5:18 – Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Romans 8:1 – There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hebrews 2:14,15 – Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same: that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Judgment Came

Now remember, it was in a condition brought about by disobedience. It was dead in sin, it was under the sentence of death, but of itself couldn’t die. He brought the time of death! One dies – as all, for all, and all die with Him. The condition now changes: this is the condition brought about by the obedience of One. I’m saying that HE "became obedient unto death even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:9) The first condition was by disobedience. He changed it by obedience, in that He brought it to its end, to its finality. What was under the sentence of death – DIED! When One died, all died with Him. And it was necessary for that. Hebrews 9:26 and 27 tells us that. " …but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Now the term "after that" is a Greek term that actually should be translated "consequently, along with that, amidst, in the midst of that" – the judgment. With that – that judgment. What happened at The Cross? JUDGMENT CAME! We will look at this more when we look at "I AM Truth" because you can’t separate Truth from Judgment, but I’m just telling you what happened here. With death came judgment. 2 Corinthians 5:14 says, " For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead." All became dead! Judgment passed – Judgment executed! In John 12:30-33 Jesus says the same thing regarding His death. It starts out in verse 23 and 24, " And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." But finally He comes down and says in verse 31, "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out." The word "world" there is "cosmos" which means the orderly arrangement which has been disarranged; brought into disarray by sin. The order of it has been disrupted and disarrayed. Do you know that when the Bible says ‘from the foundation of the world’, that word ‘foundation’ also has a meaning of ‘disruption’? Sin brought disruption. It means a casting down. Jesus said, "Now is the judgment of this disorder: now is the judgment of this disorderly humanity. NOW is the judgment!"

Ephesians 1:4 – According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.

Hebrews 4:3 – For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

1 Peter 1:20 – Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifested in these last times for you.

Revelation 13:8 – And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Jesus Brings The Order of Truth and Judgment

There has been no order in the first creation. There’s been a sentence with no execution. There’s been a condemnation with no way out. Oh my God, there’s been a command that nobody could do. There’s been death – death – death ruled. And where death rules – disorder rules. Jesus brings the order of Truth and Judgment. And when One died – all died. Sentence done! He dies as all men, to satisfy the righteous judgment of God. He dies for all to satisfy the demands of the Law. All die! In this One sent of God, God sees all men dead. Judgment finished – The Law sees all men dead. Paid in full! One dies – all die! We’re not bailed out, we’re not pardoned out, we’re not paroled out. Man is dead! Judgment finished – sentence carried out, execution complete – DEAD!

Romans 5:14 – Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

2 Corinthians 5:21 – For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew now sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

I AM The Door

But wait… to that condition, Jesus says, "I Am The Door." He didn’t speak to that condition. No, because He’s brought it to order. He brought it to a sure and certain judgment. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if sinners heard this Gospel first? And wouldn’t it be wonderful if believers would come to receive it – in the liberty of Christ? There is a redemption from this death! HE IS THAT DOOR!!
