1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 1 Corinthians 15:1-58, 2 Corinthians 5:1-17 and Romans 8:18-23 are all dealing with the same theme, which is: "The Resurrection".  More directly, Paul is here dealing with the change (transformation) for one body to another body.  He is not speaking of physical "bodies", but of being transformed or changed in our hearts (2 Cor. 3:18) from the "body" of the First Man (Adam) and Old Covenant Israel (The Old Man) into the Body of Christ as those who are One with Him.

This change or transformation is an ongoing work of the Spirit, but has nothing to do with "bodies".  Christ is even NOW saying with a mighty voice, "I AM The Resurrection and The Life" and we who are hearing His voice are being transformed from the dead "body" of the old man, to the Living Body of Christ.

Historically these verses were refreshing to the destruction of Old Covenant Israel in 70 AD, but spiritually they speak to us of a very real and very present work of the Spirit in the Body of Christ.

Once on the School of Christ page, click on Audio Classes (not Lessons)

Then go to the Great Salvation classes by JW Luman and download or listen to Class 8. It covers this subject in more detail.
