Response:

To begin I will use an excerpt from one of our publications on the Blood of the Lamb.

Matthew 26:26-28, " And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the REMISSION OF SINS." He is referring to The Lamb’s Body. Remember out of Egypt - what did they eat? They ate the flesh of The Lamb. "...my blood of the new testament..."  It is shed for many: the word "many" means ‘shed in abundance, shed plenteously, enough for all!’ Remember we said Israel was numbered in how many it took to eat the lamb. The whole thing was numbered by the blood and the flesh of the lamb. OUR REDEMPTION IS MEASURED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB - there’s enough to go around! There’s enough for everybody! It is shed for many; it doesn’t mean many just like many people, but is shed plenteously, it is shed in abundance. It is shed for offenses: "sin" there is translated ‘offenses’ - the offenses of Israel.

John 6:53-56 - look at this tremendous wording here. " Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you." Relate this to our passages in Exodus 12 - EXCEPT! This is not a Church social that we’re talking about! This is not a covered dish lunch that you can attend or not attend. Except you eat the flesh...except you drink the blood... This is talking about a spiritual identification. Israel put that blood upon themselves, upon the doorposts of their house; they put it upon the house that they were. And then they ate of it, and it became in them! EXCEPT YOU EAT THE FLESH AND DRINK THE BLOOD YOU HAVE NO LIFE IN YOU! "Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day." I will raise him up - how? I will raise him up in eternal life. "For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed." The word "indeed" means this is the true meat, this is the true drink - this is all you need as the Household of God to eat or drink - this is it! Therefore this becomes our true communion one with another. " He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him."

1 John 1:7 - having fellowship one with another, The Blood cleanses us. "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." Our true communion is in the eating of His flesh and the drinking of His Blood. Where do you do that? Inside the House. You do that as the House, as the family unit. As The Household we eat and drink - we commune with one another. Those who have true communion are those who are truly comprehending by The Spirit The Blood of The Lamb, The Blood and the flesh of The Lamb. You don’t shut somebody out of that communion, out of that fellowship, but they are shut out of it except they eat and drink! Now if eating and drinking in the New Covenant in Christ; if it’s not with the heart, if it’s not the act of spiritual comprehension - then what is it? If we are not comprehending The Lamb, we are not communing one with another. This is where our true communion is. This is the true table of The Lord. He sums it up: "he that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him." And therefore it follows that "as the living Father hath sent me, and I live by The Father, so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me." That’s the relationship of the Household. The Blood of our Redemption: redemption unto Him, out from all others; but unto God. Brought into a relationship by The Blood of The Lamb

You see under the Old Covenant it was not permitted to drink the blood of the lamb, but Jesus said this blood is of the NEW COVENANT a Covenant which is written in our hearts.

That lets us know that the communion that He is speaking of is much greater in reality than eating bread and drinking wine or juice, but is according to a spiritual apprehension of our soul.

As you have read Jesus sums up the Lamb in Himself, but we also see in Revelations 5:6 that very Lamb in the midst of the Throne as though He had been slain.

We live by a risen Lamb and it is partaking of that NEW LIFE He is in us that we have true communion.  It is a spiritual communion fully partaking of the New Covenant, by partaking of the Life and Nature of that Covenant.

Proverbs 9:1-6: We read of Wisdom Who has built the HOUSE (speaking of a Finished Work) Paul says this Wisdom is Christ Crucified in 1 Cor. 1...

What is that Wisdom (who is Christ, The Lamb who now rules in us) say to us who are simple and want true understanding... verse 5 - Come eat of my bread, and drink of the wine (representing the blood) I have mingled (with sweet spices).  Forsake the foolish and Live.

Jesus said He that eateth me shall have eternal life.  This communion goes beyond cerimonial observances but it is an inimate relationship with Christ our risen Lamb.  Partaking of His Life which will work in us the TRUTH of His Death.  Partaking of His Life that He may express through us His Life.

This Body and Blood was for us and gives us access into the Household of God, where there is Only One Son who abides in the house.  We are One with Him and must actively partake of Him in Whom and by Whom we live.

This is our communion... Partaking of Him as Paul says "To KNOW HIM.

In His Love,

Rabon Byrd
